  1. Radko Gudas is probably the worst player on any roster in the league. He skates at half speed and is good for at least one goal for the opposing team per 10 minutes on the ice. Absolutely horrible. And I’m a HUGE Ducks fan.

  2. Niedermayer is my favorite player of all time. I hope he make an appearance on the Devils list, too.

  3. Long time viewer: the way you've talked about Carlsson I thought he'd be higher on your list. I understand your avoiding the recency bias though. Good list.

  4. Longtime umaine black bear fan here. My family just happened to win season tickets for 93 second row in the corner. I was ten at the time and Paul Kariya has been my favorite player since.

  5. So many fantastic players have come to the Ducks and I'm so happy for it. I definetly want to see more jersey retirement's for their players I think Rob, Rucchin, Gigure, Getzlaf, and Perry definetly deserve to be up there.

  6. I wrote a 25 player list and then my auto play kicked in and I lost it. Not on the list but big shout out to François Beauchemin

  7. sigh when I was still living in the USA at the time specifically southern California, I remember watching an interview with Paul Kariya (I think still lives in Orange County?), and when asked about his NHL career, he basically avoided the subject all together, signaling to me that he doesn't want to remember it, (or he can't remember it). That's a moment that I will NEVER forget about him. CTE was a major concern back then for me as well.

  8. I've always been a supporter of Vatrano even though he has never played for any of my teams. I like his fight and I'm buddies with his older cousin

  9. You need to just focus your hate on jersey and betting ads. We already hate it, but since you can't hate teams/players so much anymore, just lean into how stupid betting ads on every square inch of surface is.

I'm right there with Paul Kariya, that guy was so special.

  10. I was really upset when Ryan Kesler went to Anaheim, but it introduced me to Ryan Getzlaf a lot more. Huge respect for everything he has done for Anaheim. Still remember that time he left the puck behind in OT against the Yotes lol.

  11. I really liked Francois Beauchemin in Anaheim, Jean-Sebastien Giguere as well, i wonder if teammates/staff/announcers anglicized their first names or if they had a nick name to simplify communication, or both.

It is usually the case, unless they are written the same way, then it is only pronounced differently.

  12. THG, welcome to the aging process where we learn that our favorite players are no longer just the ones posting the best stats but rather the ones who are contributing both on and off the ice as well as to society.

  13. As an Oiler fan , I found out. Corey Perry. Love him on your team. Hate him on another.

So if anyone really like anaheim. He has to be top 10 at least

  14. Good list but I think Corey Perry belonged on it before some of the current players of the Ducks made it who only have a few years ttheir belt. It's hard to mention Getzlaf without mentioning Perry. They were quite a pair. Love Perry or hate him, you can't deny the impact he makes on teams when he joins them. He's also quite the character. He would have made it in my top 6 or 7 for sure.

  15. I know it's not this order:

    #1 Ryan Kessler
    #2 Corey Perry
    #3 Todd Ewen
    #4 David Karpa

My favorites from the old days:
    Bob Corkum
    Guy Hebert
    Ron Tugnutt
    Teemu Selanne
    Petr Sykora
    Lubomir Vishnovsky
    Stu Grimson
    Todd Ewen
    Ruslan Salei
    Vitali Vishnevsky
    Brad May
    Shawn Thornton
    Steve Rucchin
    Paul Kariya
    Andy McDonald
    Chris Kunitz
    Dustin Penner
    Ryan Getzlaf
    Corey Perry
    Rob Niedermayer
    Samuel Pahlsson
    JS Giguere
    Ilya Bryzgalov
    Chris Pronger
    Scott Niedermayer
    Francois Beauchemin
    Sean O'Donnell
    Joe DiPenta
    Rick Jackman

  16. Re: Cogliano's suspension

I always suspect that Parros levied that suspension out of envy for Cogliano. They played together, and Cogliano stayed with the team, while Parros did not.
