Ducks are better off going after 1 more forward, a true 1st liner, and then sitting put. Still have Sennecke, Nesterenko, and a few other prospects that are ready to crack the bottom 6. Don’t need a Kane.
Dont forget that Florida has no state tax therefore any contract that these guys sign will actually hold a bit more value to the player. You mentioned Marchand getting maybe 8 m in free agency per year. In Massachusetts, there is a millionaire tax of 4% – that tax is on top of normal income tax if not mistaken= That is a millionaire tax charge of over 300000 that he wouldnt see in Florida.

Cap tip to Bones! Nick Bonino was a heck of a player. Not many 6th rounders have a 15 year career. Hats off to Anaheim for drafting him and credit to Nick for being a hell of a guy.
