Great show as per, fellas. One thing to add… they don’t have to get rid of one of the centre prospects necessarily since anyone of Xhekaj, Kap or Beck could go to the wing. But still, lots of possibilities on the table. So much fun.
Lastly, Go Tigers Go. (And draft Pickford, please and thanks. Yes, he’s 19. Whoopity-doo.)
Hi Shaun & Marco, Missed your podcasts as we were in the Canary Islands, now home in Scotland. Catching up on all your podcasts and thoroughly enjoy the banter regarding Habs prospects and trade chips. IMO I would be disappointed to see Mailloux included in a trade even for a much desired 2C. At 6'3" and circa 220 lbs a RD like him with physicality and offensive prowess are extremely difficult to acquire. If he could be paired with a top LD like Guhle his defensive inefficiencies would be minimized.
With for example a pairing in the 2026/27 season of Hutson / Reinbacher, Guhle / Mailloux and perhaps Arbor / Carrier with Engstrom rotating I see that as a strong D. Unfortunately I do not see Matheson being re-signed.
Best ever ever habs comeback … April 1971 … What I find beautiful is the simple celebrations after someone score. No extravagant arm pumping, no jumping on the glass, no tapping of the gloves at the bench…. nobody ridiculing the opponents. april 1971 mtl / bos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okhF6C8LVMM&t=70s
Just don't suggest Sidney Crosby or these guys will roll their eyes and tell you how that's not happening. They perform certainty so well, but in reality these two are just as clueless as every other fan.
Every team has a Beck, or Kapanen in their system. Montreal’s best bet is still Zegras. Brace yourselves Habs nation, we’re going to be bad still for a while.
Shaun you’re talking over Marco too much and it sounds like listening to multiple radio frequencies at the same time.
Even with how good Laval is right now, there is not a lot of players that can help Habs next season and that is including Mailloux. Habs could package 1st with Mailloux to Sabres for Owen Power with rumors that he might be available.
