  1. Has Norris' injury been clarified yet? If not, this is a travesty. He went on the trip but didn't play, I call b.s. its his shoulder!

  2. Kekalainen would be my 3rd choice for the next Sabres GM . Brian Burke and Ray Shero would be ahead of him, but its all wishful thinking as we all know how Pegula feels about hiring and paying EXPERIENCED people .Very unlikely to happen.

  3. Why would we want a GM who’s won nothing? If you do bring in a new GM bring in a guy who’s a cup winner, has a history of winning

  4. McLeod is entering the prime of his career. We should expect 20+ goals a season for the next 3-5 years. And YES – I would give him more minutes. 5 year contract is getting the best years of his career.

  5. Buffalo needs more than a new GM. They need a new owner. That being said, Zucker, McLeod, and Byram were really nice pickups. Norris not so much, his injury history was no secret.

  6. Frankly I love Levi and he will be our number one goalie BUT I would keep him in Rochester for at least one more year. I liken him to a parallel of Dustin Wolf who spent 4 years in the AHL whereas Levi has only 2.

  7. My biggest frustration is that Owen Power is 6'6" but plays like he is 5'10". His offense is good enough, and will probably increase as he matures – but he needs a lot more grit and aggression. He'll never be a Chris Pronger in that regard, but its something he could aspire to.

  8. Yeah Marner won’t sign here unless we have a new GM to sell him on how it’s changing for the better. 😂

  9. 1. Have decent season. 2. Get fat NHL guaranteed contract. 3. Play like crap. 4. Get traded. Lather, rinse, next guy repeat!

  10. I’m curious about something. How many Sabres fans would give up almost anything if we could have gotten Victor Hedman to spend his career in Buffalo? I’d assume most would. Let me break something down then.

Over his career, Hedman has averaged 107 hits per season. Over his first 3 seasons, he averaged .32 P/GP, with a +/- of -9.

Now let’s compare Owen Power and his first 3 seasons. He’s averaging .45 P/GP, has averaged 103 Hits per season and his career +/- is a +7.

Over his first 3 seasons, he’s averaged .13 more P/GP, only 4 less hits per season and is +16 better than Hedman at this point in his career.

Basically, he’s got the same frames as Hedman and his stats are practically identical at this point of his career. And people are trying to run him out of town!

No one would run Hedman out, so we need to get this kids a REAL coach and hang on to him until this rebuild is over and THEN decide if he’s not living up to what he’s being paid!

  11. My fantasy is McLeod comes back and he, and Thompson, and Power, and Samuelson, and Quinn, and Peterka, and Bryson lift weights 4 hours a day, 6 days a week this summer and load up on protein …. and take boxing lessons.
