Christian Fischer was not the right player to put on waivers at all. A player who hasn't been playing well enough to trade for another player at the deadline is the correct move. One of the defensemen or Tarasenko were the only correct choices.

these 2 are together on the dais but NOT together on the ice and THAT is why the team is missing the playoffs for the 2nd straight year when they would have made the playoffs w the Larkin Kane DeBrincat top line both times.
Dylan Larkin at 5v5 the past 2 seasons has a 68% goals for % (meaning goals for vs goals against) when he's out there w Kane, and when he's not out there w Kane he's got a 41% goals for %. That is your top line center, star player, your 1C. And when he's not out there w this particular other player, his line gets outscored 6-4 every 10 goals that are scored. And guess what? He's virtually NEVER out there w Kane this year. Only 6 starts together.
And that's why they will be home again in April May and beyond. Kane and Cat post dominant analytics but their line gets OUTSCORED, JT Compher besides breaking the scoring chances is also horrible defensively this year. People want to say Kane is a defensive liability, no, he's himself, same as ever, same as last year. Compher is supposed to plugging holes on that line and carrying his weight w defense and he's not doing it. So he's doing nothing for them either way. A nightmare of personnel mismanagement.
Man I feel so bad for Mazur. I think that hurts worse than the loss. Don’t know how long a dislocated elbow takes to heal but I’m guessing 2-4 weeks minimum.
You all control your destiny on this years playoffs. Since you all where cheated out of the win against CBJ, you all have been on a massive back slide. Take a breath and push hard. Someone hurts one of your guys, you hurt one of theirs. Fight back. Don't give up.
