I like Frederic. The only that I don't like, is the manner in which he arrives. Injured at this point in the season. I'm not sure he's gonna have the time he needs to really gel with this group, by the times the playoffs come around.
He's gonna have to hit the ground running, and well, that's a lot to ask in that atmosphere. I hope he can pull it off, but, I'm cautiously optimistic on the timing of this one. Still, Frederic is solid, and I've actually wanted to see him on this team for a little bit now. 🍻
Just face it oil country. Last seasons team was much better than this seasons roster. Managment hasn’t added defence or goaltending. Or replaced guys like mcleod or Hollywood. As a fan of the game I hope 97 leaves town and doesn’t waste his career.
Why doesn't everyone see the real problem is the goalie coach, Dustin Schwartz he's an idiot. When Mike Smith was here, he brought in his own goalie coach because Smith didn't like Schwartz and what he had to say about goaltending. Hello😮

The problem is that Bouchard has played about as well as Klingberg, but is marketed as a #1 Dman.
Honestly, i wouldn`t pump any future assets into this team. Not at all.

RNH, MCD, Hy, Ekholm, Bouchard, S. Skinner are all having down years.
UFA signings Arvidsson, J.Skinner and Henrique have not been great at all, nothing worked out.
Klingberg, he`s not horrible but he`s also not good, his advanced stats are bad and with 10gp it is becoming significant. He`s not the answer.
Goaltending is a mess, there are nights the Oilers can`t get a stop at all.
PK and PP was so much better last year on that run.
Right now, cup chances are 0. FLA, TBL, even the Leafs are higher, same is true for the Jets, Dallas and maybe Avs.
Even in the Pacific, out of VGK and LA, i don`t trust the Oilers to come out on top.
This team looks like a one and done, maybe a two and done. Keep the assets, and just don`t do this stupid stuff again letting go of all young, upcoming players for washed veterans.

Hi Patrick and all oilers from Germany. Thx for your infos. I think this is a bit alibi trading. Savoie down isnt correct, but this is our staff, no touch for young players! Seems that staff is also a problem. Goaltender trainer has to be changed immediately, no doubt. Line changing each game, iam no friend of this. I can not understand that….Well he had -4 in the last game but he was one of the best plazers there for last couple of Games…..Definitelz better than bottom 6 Forward…I would sent Arvidsson to backersfield if it was possible…..
