Devin Levi is the future,very impressive!
Most people don’t realize how much clout sneaky joe has. He was the captain and all state defenseman at orchard park. He talks about it every once in awhile but Michigan state actually offered him preferred walk on position. He denied to focus on his eachl career. Beast.
Its not that our expectations are low for our Sabres , as they could win 22 off their last games but what will kill their playoff chances are the dreaded 3 point games aka games that go to OT between teams ahead of them!
Unless we have a competent D, Levi would be no better than UPL
I’ve heard that Seth Jones wants out of Chicago and is asking for a trade. A couple scenarios I see to get him could be the following:
Seth Jones, Teuvo Teravainen and Lucas Reichel for Cozens, Samuelsson, Krebs and Rosen
or
Cozens, Krebs and Byram (If they don’t think they can sign him).
Jones is a Skilled and Physical D-Man, who was a 2 Time All-Star and more importantly, he shoots Right
Sabres will fall further back after we sell at the deadline. The 13 game L streak, 9/13 losses were by one goal. Even just a point in some of those……ugh.
I think keeping the fans engaged with hopes of the playoffs is gone.
At this point, its just nightly entertainment. A game is on? I'll watch! Kinda how I followed the team as a little kid when winning or losing was a little more secondary to just watching a fun game.
I’m not sure if this is more indicative of the Sabres failing to see what Isak Rosen is capable of, or that Rosen is failing to earn the teams trust when he gets called up.
He practically leading the AHL in scoring, yet he’s only played 2 games and averaged 9 minutes.
He’s 2 points shy of his AHL career high in 19 less games. So either the Sabres don’t want to take him and Kulich away from Rochester in the same season hand hurt their Calder Cup chances, or they don’t trust his game wi translate to the NHL in any meaningful way.
I hope Benson learns something every time he goes to the box. And eventually becomes a similar kinda asshole to Brad Marchand. I fuckin hate Marchand, but I want one on my team.
Sabres won't get below 7 points out of the playoffs. Depending how the schedules of the Sabres and Amerks shake out, as well as where Roch is at in the standings, really looking forward to hopefully seeing Devon get 2-4 games at the end of the year with BUF
I don't see them getting to 8pts back. Right now they'll be hard pressed to get out of the eastern basement.
Thompson will have to score between 20-25 goals along with 45 points and Dahlin would have to score close to 15 goals and 35-40 points for the Sabres to have a chance at the playoffs. Big big numbers but who else on that team can put the squad on their backs?
Well, they're terrible in the 2nd period, and only "bad" in the 3rd. The Rangers were inches away from making it 5-3 in the 2nd period but Dahlin bailed out UPL. The 3rd period was Quick's turn to look like a 39 y/o goalie typically does and it's a good thing that he turned into a pumpkin on Thompson 2nd goal of the game. That pretty much put the Rangers on the bus and headed for the airport.
Everytime Levi comes up he lets in like 5+ goals. If the Sabres go on a run late here, i wouldnt risk it this year, personally, with everyone healthy Greenway back, this team is dangerous… That Greenway goal… No hate, but from what i've seen Levi cant handle primetime yet. If they go 5-5 next ten season is over let Levi play. . if they go 7-3 and still in it mathmatically i wouldn't risk it.
i'm just taking these games one at a time. i'll enjoy the wins where i can get em.
