Blake has done a great job of with his signings especially in the D-core getting both Roy and Walker for under $6 mil combined is excellent cap managment and a real testament to LA's scouts Walker undrafted and Roy a twice passed over 7th rnd pick and both have earned their deals and probably should have got more $ hell i thought Roy was gonna cost closer to $4 mil also I'm really glad to see you coming around on Roy's play and ability starting to understand what Kings fans have been seeing since those first 25 games 2 seasons back

Love the Roy signing, though the sticker shock was real on that one. I would have expected $2.5 million AAV, but it’s not a reach. He only keeps getting better, and I think this contract banks on that a bit.

Very good move by Kings. Leafs may regret their move– Canucks should pick him up. Hard working bottom six guys are key to success. Draft lottery moves are significant–trying to be a last place team is a bad strategy. This is a needed refinement.

Why wouldn’t a team like the Kings claim Boyd with idea of trading any one of their veteran forwards before the deadline?
I have a idea for the draft lottery and I would love to hear your opinions too! My idea would be to keep the 15 team draft lottery however you split the teams. The teams that finished in the last five spots in the league would have a lottery for the 1-5 picks and it would keep the teams that are struggling with the good picks. Then the teams from 6-15 would have there own lottery. It keeps the excitement of the lottery and the chance for your team to move up from a mid round pick to a top ten pick. I think this would be a very fair rule change. I just hate the idea of just capping how many firsts you get and the position you can fall too. With my way it keeps it to chance but it’s also fair and doesn’t penalize the last five team. It also adds a options for the NHL to broadcast the 6-15th picks first and 1-5 picks last for more viewership. That’s my idea thanks 🙂
Any chance you do a top 3 players per team you expect might be taken by Seattle? Probably a ton of needless work, but as a Caps fan I’m kinda scared we’ll lose a big name…
