Leafs couldn't let the Bruins be the only team to make a comeback. I'm loving this Bruins-Leafs rivalry. It's great to see these two teams face off both head-to-head and in the playoffs and division. It's heartwarming to see them cheering for their team at the best and worst of times. And it's hilarious to see the fans try to jab the opposing team and failing (though there are some good ones).
Why is it that every time we come back from 2 goals down and win it always comes at a cost of an injury of an important player? First it was Matthews when we came back from 2 goals down against the Islanders. Then tonight it was Freddie! Its almost like the hockey gods see the leafs down by 2 goals and they say: we will let you comeback and win only if one of your star players gets injured and the leafs be like: OK!
Even after the given up 2-0 lead and Freddie's injury, this team shows that they can still fight till the end, even against a team fighting for its playoff life in the Stars! Don't sleep on this team! They're only gonna get better from here! The only thing that needs to be fixed is the D and this team will be Cup contenders in no time! (and by no time I mean in a couple of years because they still have a lot of amazing defensive prospects waiting to develop for the NHL)
Stars are heading for a playoffs sweep. I suggest they just give up this season and get the highest pick possible because they won't win a game vs Nashville in the playoffs.
