  1. Loved Wayne Train, I still have his bobblehead from his LA days and the ASG in LA that he won the mvp was rad.

  2. You know who else was a black player that you said you would do a career video on? Joel Ward. Please, please can we finally get the much anticipated Joel Ward career video that you said you would do over 4 years ago?

  3. Ride the WAYNE TRAIN.A Philly fan favorite 😍 😎..How bout a Jake Voracek carrer video next .Another Flyer fan favorite

  4. I became a Flyers fan in 2014 so I will always have great memories of watching those 2010s Flyers teams. Glad I got to see Wayne and that core when they were still there.

  5. Thanks for this, Shannon! Wayne would have been a fan favorite if he had stayed in LA, too. He was showing flashes of skill when he was traded, a good pair of hands and some skating ability to go with his size and toughness. I saw him score a sweet shootout winner in something like the 9th round against Edmonton, it was a thing of beauty. Roomed with Drew Doughty as a rookie and the two were pretty tight. Had a sense of humor, too — I remember he got interviewed for one of those fluff features you see on the TV broadcasts, about New Year's resolutions. He laughed and said, "To listen to less techno music." I really wish he had gotten to win a Cup with someone, anyone. But he had a great career nonetheless.

  6. Thanks Shannon for putting this together for us Flyers fans. Wayne was a true Flyer. My dad always said he never took a shift off. I think he was probably one of my dad's favorite Flyer of all time.

  7. Loved Simmer as a flyers fan, hated to see him go but it was time to move him glad he got his one day contract with the flyers

  8. Tough dude – always enjoyed watching him play. Solid career for a guy taken 61st overall. One of those classic glue guys who just goes about his business.

  9. He never got the money he deserved particularly in his prime and with 30 goal seasons but with 17th seasons and 1000+ games he can look back happy

  10. One of my all time favorite flyers. Thanks for always leaving it all on the ice for us, wayne. Glad you retired a flyer. Enjoy retirement

  11. dude was a class act, as a caps fan i will always remember that one playoff game where there was the picture of ovi and wayne telling the philly crowd to stop throwing stuff on the ice.

  12. Simmonds played the way Philly fans (not JUST hockey) want a guy to play here – tough, heart on your sleeve, admit when you're wrong, and always give 100%. More players need to be like Sims.
