I swear Silovs played his heart out tonight but unfortunately the team infront of him let him down.. he’s doing everything he can to give this team a chance to win night in and night out… it’s embarrassing that the team infront of him can’t do the same for him

Silovs the rookie fighting so hard each game against some of the most talented offense in the league. Mad respect to him for playing so gutsy and so well… this poke check was gorgeous 🔥

  4. His play was only good thing about tonight rest of team needs to pick it up.

Šilovs just imagines that the goal is Latvia. He is protecting Latvia. He is good Latvian🫡🇱🇻

Not only did he make this play but he managed to clear the zone off the glass, just ridiculous

He’s playing with the confidence of an elite goalie who’s been there done that in this league, so happy to have him. I don’t think we have the success we are having if we had to rely on DeSmith. A Demko-Silovs tandem moving forward is going to be great because we have a reliable 1B who will allow Demko to rest and be healthy after a full season

This was the moment Silovs attempted to steal the game.

Future vezina winner, calling it right now

When your backup goalies back up, comes out of nowhere, and ends up being one of the best goaltenders in the NHL

As an Oilers fan, this guy upsets me. He’s far too beastly and badass, and I hope he gets the stomach flu, so he’s gone for a few games

On the other hand, watching him play is a sight in itself. Gratz to Vancouver for pulling a goalie like that out of nowhere.

(I’m joking about the stomach flu, I don’t wish sickness on anyone, he’s the McDavid of goaltending, and he will do real well in the NHL if he continues to maintain his play)

How does your 3rd string goalie have more hustle than your highest paid forward

Given it was Kane going for it I’m surprised he didn’t take a shot at Silovs

This poke check was a ridiculously ballsy play by him and I love it. What confidence he must have as a rookie stepping up to the plate during such a competitive time. Kid’s got swagger for sure.
