  1. I wouldn’t say a 2.78 GAA and .905 SV % for a 34 year old goalie with a $6 M cap hit for a couple more season is a “stud” more likely he’s becoming a negative asset

  2. Sounds like a Toronto sports media trade…Marner and a bunch of throw away players for a solid goalie and a top pair Dman who eats minutes, plays against top lines and puts up 40-50 points a year at 27 years old at only 4.5mil for 3 more years. Toronto could only dream of making that trade

  3. Cmon now, they are not just gonna give him away for free now. If they trade him its gonna be for a #1 DMAN, not a 35 year old goalie. And as if Marner gonna waive his NTC to go to Calgary🤦‍♂

  4. No way Leafs put that much $ into a goalie. And Leafs need guys on ELCs like Minten & Robertson to make their cap work

  5. Doesn't work IMO. Markstrom has been inconsistent these last few years and I'm not even that impressed with the package… I think both teams pass.
I'd try my luck with the Preds instead, Saros seems like a safer bet imo. In both cases, teams are at the mercy of where Marmer wants to go…. I suspect Nashville is a more pleasing destination than Calgary. i don't see why anyone would lift their no move to go to Calgary rn…

  6. Jakob markstorm is not the answer, if treliving makes that trade, fire him immediately or else we’re all wasting our time being fans of this team

  7. If Markstrom is is a stud of a goaltender. Why doesn’t the Flames keep him?

Also have to remember. Minton almost made the team. He was the Final Cut in preseason. The boy is good.

Take out Minton. Maybe put Cowan in. He was one of the first to be cut from preseason roster.

  8. If the leafs made the markstrom and Anderson trade then it i were treliving i would immediately sign pesce and tanev
    Reilly Anderson
    Pesce tanev
    McCabe beniot
    Webber mattenin

  9. After thinking about it. Even tho Anderson is good . I say no. It helps Calgary more in the long run and only helps the Leafs short term specially with Markstrom being 34. And by the time his contract is up. He will be 36. Leafs would still be looking for another goaltender.

Also. Calgary gets waaay younger with those players going to the Flames.

    Trade Denied. :).
