50 shots on goal for Carolina each game and about 20% are quality shots, the rest are just fluff. Credit to the Rangers defense and especially their penalty kill. Canes #1 league best power play is 0/15 this series
rangers team reminds me of the AVs and tampa when they made their cup runs.
Carolina gets all these shots but maybe…. 15 of them are decent quality and 5 are high quality.

Canes are a great team. Rangers are better. Rangers know how to contain them. Rangers know how to capitalize on opportunities. Rangers are surgical. They showed it during the season. This is just a continuation.

Carolina is a chaos team. They create messy situations and capitalize on them. And 90% of the time it works! But not against the Rangers, who emphasize structure and a balanced O/D approach. Carolina isn't equipped to counter the Rangers turn around game.
Rangers have that 1 3 1 trap, they also play a diamond high pressure defensive structure, Carolina can’t beat that, the only goals the canes get is a deflection because u can’t beat Igor clean, if u can’t counterattack them, nobody is stopping them, the rangers are pressuring and are so organized, they breakout in different ways so the canes have trouble stopping them, the rangers average 25 shots a game but 15 of them are higher quality shots and the rangers need 1 chance and they will score we saw that last game in OT we saw that on the PP in game 1, good fucking luck stopping these guys
Canes are paper tigers and would be even worse if they didn't have Guentzel to score half their goals.
Igor has been good but acting like he’s gone 2023 Bob god mode is crazy. He’s not making highlight reel saves, guy hasn’t been challenged once in 15 powerplays by Carolina. He’s doing enough to get the job done but, he’s not being tested as the shots would suggest.
