Those 20 names are really poor ones only about 3 that are any good. Even I could think of better nicknames than that. Yeti is the only one on that list that stands out.
SLAYERS, SCAVENGERS, SENTENALS, SLASHERS, GUTTERS (fish), SALT DOGS, SOARING EAGLES, ASCEND, OSPREYS, BANDITS, MOSSIES, COAL, PITMEN, HORDE, TERRIERS, PITBULLS, HUSKIES, BUZZ, FIGHTERS and the one that stands out the SAINTS. Which I am guessing you cannot use due to the NEW ORLEAN SAINTS & the 90s BRITISH ELECTRONIC TRANCE BAND UTAH SAINTS.

Mountaineers, Caribou, Black Diamonds, Powder, Swarm, Blizzard, Canyons, Hive, and Outlaws are all references to Utah's culture, geography, history, or ecology.
Whether or not they're actually good names though… That's definitely up to debate.
I like Utah HC, it has an old school and formal feel. As long as not all other new teams end up with that name like in soccer. Even though we can argue that it' s the official habs team name: Club de Hockey Canadien. But I voted Powder!!!!
Utah Hive or Swarm. Imagine the crowd noise of emulating a giant hive for either of these names. Or better yet, the team is the Swarm, and the venue is called the Hive. Yellow and Black color scheme, sweet!
I'm down with Gladiators (instant rivalvry with the Golden Knights) or Sting(ers), because of their honey industry…and maybe because I was a Sarnia boy for awhile

You're acting like a lot of teams already don't have bad names. Minnesota Wild is a terrible name but guess what we got used to it. The Mighty Ducks now just the Ducks is still a terrible name but we got used to it. I personally like the Venom and the Yeti. Are they the best names? No but guess what we'd get used to it and much like those other teams with bad names in a few years it wouldn't matter
