* Belief around the league is that Couturier could potentially be moved for another bad contract
* Flyers feel TK is in the $8mil range for an extension. A great contract year could push that to $10mil
* Thinks the Flyers will look for a LHD partner for Drysdale. Chychrun might be too expensive
* Farabee could be dangled in a hockey trade
* Will look at centers
* Flyers could look to get creative to move up from Florida’s 1st rounder, potentially using Laughton as a guy to go to Buffalo.

I think a major part of this is the captaincy. If Torts sits him again, we get another circus. Torts will sit him again if his numbers don’t improve on the last 15 games he played. Might be the last chance to even have the opportunity to trade him for a bad contract.

Holy shit the amount of comments here claiming Couturier’s contract isnt bad is incredible. Couturier has been one of my favorite players for awhile but hes a significantly declining 31 yr old coming off two back surgeries who just played at ~3 mil level and is signed for 6 more yrs at nearly 8 mil …
That is *atrocious* and easily one of worst contract situations in the league
I dont know whats more likely. This many fans actually believe his contract is fine or Couturier’s crazy new agent has people commenting to push the narrative his contract isnt terrible so he can be moved.

If Huberdeau is even an option for coots you take that any day. 1 year younger, no injury history ,and 2 seasons removed from 115 points, also multiple 90+ seasons. Pair him with whatever 1c and Michkov and you have a great reclamation story.
