Rivalries are born in the NHL Playoffs and we are witnessing the blossoming of a new one! The Boston Bruins, after having one of the greatest regular seasons in NHL history last year were obviously Cup favourites. Until, they were flat out embarrassed by the Florida Panthers who knocked them out in the first round. A Panthers team that went on to the Cup final. So as we get the highly anticipated rematch between these two this year, you just know that bitter memory is baked into the minds of Brad Marchand and the Bruins. They want revenge. The Panthers are the top dogs this year though, so as they met head to head, we got absolute chaos! We got huge hits, 146 of them to be exact, Montour mocking Marchand by licking/sticking his tongue out, two superstars in Tkachuk and Pastrnak (after first getting permission of course) going at it, 148 penalty total minutes handed out and of course, a little pettiness. It was a fantastic game and I cover it all in todays NHL hockey video!

Good video, but noticed you said, "Bruins scored first, again.." and that the Panthers took their first lead of the series going up 2-1. But the Panthers scored the first goal in game 1, im pretty sure.

Not so much an issue of rivalry between particular teams, but the fact that some players can get pretty nasty and really push things to the limit and beyond when it comes to fair play. Matthew Tkachuk and others like him exemplify the nastiness that so often gets out of hand during playoffs. The NHL will never subject such players to the discipline that they deserve, because they don't want to kill the revenue stream… but the unsportsmanlike behavior that so often escalates during playoffs can really ruin the game.
