Marty has assisted in building and maintaining a culture conducive to continued growth. The Habs’s team culture looks really positive and supportive, and as the pool continues to grow, I think Marty’s presence will assist in getting us back into a good playoff spot.

It’s crazy how the league burns through coaches. It takes a couple of years to pick and develop players and see how it turns out.

It’s no question that MSL was THE guy for this rebuild. Everyone said rebuilding in Montreal was impossible yet here we are, with a 3rd pick bottom 5 in a row and still with an actual buzz surrounding the team for the more die-hard fans.
Even the media aren’t half as hard as you’d expect them to be (bar maybe a few old schoolers who will always hold the habs to the highest of standards, understandably), and I think a BIG part of that is MSL winning them over.
It will be very interesting to see if MSL continues to be THE guy while the team battle for a playoff spot (I think he will), and then hopefully, while the team challenges for the cup (I think he might well be).
If he keeps this up, and stays interested, we could have an MSL era that goes 5-8 years which is absolutely crazy to think about!
