Final game of the season series – NASHVILLE – Elias Pettersson and Pius Suter each had a goal and an assist for the Vancouver Canucks in a 5-2 win against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday.
Quinn Hughes and Ilya Mikheyev had two assists for the Canucks (22-9-2), who have won six of seven and are 8-2-1 in their past 11. Casey DeSmith made 26 saves.
This happened to the Preds in the first round a few years ago against the Avalanche. Saros was injured and the Preds even started their AHL goalie for a game.
Maybe this isn’t the year and that’s ok… alot of runway left for this team👌But I think DeWarriors game against Edmonton was very good…
Demko getting injured out of nowhere is literally Canucks in a nutshell. Not saying DeSmith was the reason we lost, but I think we would've won that game with Demko. DeSmith letting in that first goal & Demmer making that early save in game1 is basically the difference.
You kind of saw this coming when Tocchet was riding him like a rented mule….He played too much in regular season….
