Watch in a few years Anaheim, Chicago & SJ will be dominant teams again and the Flyers will be exactly where they have been for decades which is sometimes competitive but never have Star Power due to never committing to a COMPLETE TEARDOWN and sucking it for 3-4 years straight!!! They got REALLY lucky with MIchkov but they're gonna need to get lucky and keep getting studs with later round picks due to their STUPID RETOOLING PHILOSOPHY!!!
I hope Danny uses some of our assets to leapfrog Calgary and trade with Seattle @ 8 to draft Inginla… But if they stay at 12, I hope Helenius is available not only bc he could be the perfect Centerman for Michkov but also bc he HATES Cutter Gauthier refusing to shake his hands at the World Junior Finals this past year haha!!!
At the very least, it’s good to see Michkov deadlifting, though I’ve been told that his form is weak and he’s gonna be a bust because of it😂
If you watch Demidov play, he more than dominated that league. He looked like a bored cat torturing a fly. I can’t say what he would’ve done in the K but I suspect he would’ve looked pretty good. His skating is very unusual but extremely effective at lower levels. He could be the best player in the draft in my opinion.
The thing with Saliyev isn’t just his size but his defensive game with his skating. He is a tremendous skater not just for his size. He would be a number one shutdown Dman in the NHL if he reached his potential. I’m honestly the most hyped on him.
I have heard that the "rumors of a Farabee trade" are because OTHER teams have the most interest in him, out of our team. It's not that the Flyers want to trade him, but that other teams want him. ( I believe Anthony San Filippo mentioned this).
Connelly should not be overlooked. He took a pic of a bad symbol that his friend made out of toy blocks at a library and posted it to Snapchat when he was 16. It’s dumb, of course but he definitely seems to get a way worse wrap for what actually happened. You guys should look into it. He’s way more talented than people think.
The dream scenario for me is to send a package of Farabee+ FLA pick + prospects in order to draft Demidov. I think he may fall in the draft a bit due to his contract in Russia. Michkov and Demidov would be a formidable duo for the flyers. And with our first getting Eiserman
Farabee Sanheim and Florida 1st for Marner.
Barkey has been awesome on the forecheck and he competes hard every shift. If he puts on size, he is going to be a great player. That was a hell of a pick.
Not a huge Marner fan. Huge talent. Soft player.
But maybe away from Toronto he grows up and becomes a man instead of a spoiled child

The Flyers jersey . . . Well likely Gauthier never even put on a Flyers jersey in the past year and a half. He likely overtly avoided Flyers logo items. Therefore the simple fact that Mitchkov is wearing one, whether it was purposeful or not, is simply a great sign. Trading Farabee is a dumb idea . . . he is too serviceable/solid player when he is on the ice . . . the payback would need to be very high . . . Great Show as always . . . my favorite flyers pod cast / talk show.
You are right about Michkov. The "Experts" keep dropping his stock. What they are saying is "Out of sight, out of mind." By the end of the season, they will put Michkov in the 2nd Round, of a really bad Draft Year.
Please no more Zegras talk – the guy is NOT Flyers material. He's where he belongs!
