I don’t believe in the Bruins, so I’m going to talk negative about them all year. But they’re good enough that they should win, so I’m not going to give them any credit if they do what they’re supposed to do
You have to be realistic with this Bruins team. They over achieved this regular season. They have great goal tending and a defensive system that will layer and clear away rebounds. Compared to all other teams in the playoffs they are the most unsexy product because all they do is chip, dump, and chase and wait for the other team to make a mistake. Its very similar to the 2021 playoffs and how we out played the Islanders almost every night but they sat back and capitalized on the Bruins mistakes. Offensively this Bruins team is made up of 3rd and 4th liners aside from pasta and Marchand.
Felger should look at the cup odds relative to the rest of the field in the playoffs, Vegas oddsmakers have not believed in this roster to make a deep cup run all year, this is absolutely House Money

I believe the Bruins absolutely have a shot at the cup. It's hockey. Anything can happen. With that said, I do not expect them to win the cup because of what was said in the video – they are not strong down the middle, get their asses kicked in the circle, and their centers aren't scoring thus far. As Mazz said, it's kind of a defense mechanism to not get too hopeful for them because of their history of choking. STOP HURTING US! There are some intangibles though that make me believe they can win. They almost became the most embarrassing franchise in North American professional sports and they dodged that label. That's tremendous pressure for them in that game 7 and they didn't fold like many of us expected them to. They would have been booed off the ice and everyone would want the team to be nuked from top to bottom with no one being safe. I can't think of a higher pressure situation honestly. That pressure is lifted and they all gained confidence going through that. I mean look at Pasta. Looked like vintage Pasta in game 1 even though he didnt get a goal. Young players are emerging and stepping up. Jeremy fucking Swayman. Nobody expecting anything from them and being called the worst team left is absolutely motivation for them if they take it that way. I'm sure these guys have a chip on their shoulder because of last year and want revenge on Florida.
How storybook would it be if the Bruins took another 3-1 lead against Florida? The Boston media would have a field day with their hypotheticals and predictions. Imagine they have a 3-1 lead and lose game 5? Holy shit Felger's head would explode on air.
Dude who is this guy just screaming at his co-hosts the entire time. I had to stop watching after 5 minutes. Who cares what they said a month ago? This isn’t a trial. You’re not trying to get him to recant a statement. You’re supposed to be talking about the team we all love, analyzing their play, and discussing possible future scenarios. Sure arguments about sports are fun to watch and be a part of but they’re not fun to watch if you spend the whole time yelling about who said what 2 months ago and who is now right.
Felger is one of the dominant forces in the Boston sports media market. He is a legit talent on the radio/simulcast, etc. … but OMG he is such a ridiculously whiny, bitchy, temper-tantrum throwing puss when people push back on his arguments. He loses all creditability for me when he gets caught up in these petty screaming back-and-forth verbal slap-fights with guys he invited onto his show in the first place.
