  1. If Montreal actually does trade down its to draft Tij Iginla. Right? But i think they will draft Lindstrom at 5. Who knows though. Maybe they trade down to 9 and get a guy like Catton or Eiserman instead? Possibilities are endless really there.

  2. I think that Lindstrom is our #1 Target. The only 2 worries i have for him are injuries and how most of his points in juniors came from goals. I dont really see that futute 40 goal scorer yet in him so it might be a sign that his offensive floor is a bit lower and it might be like Slaf where he takes time to develop. On the injury side. I think he could be like a Monahan who plays amazing but falls off and is traded because of injuries. But he shows great strengths. To me. His frame is one. He might have injury troubles but could also just be unlucky and will have an easier time protecting himself and others. His shot. Elite shot for PP goals like Slaf. And most of all. His skating and hands like Thompson. Overall. I project him to be like a Marian Hossa.

  3. If Leshunov or Demidov isn't available at number 5, I'm all for trading down. Don't want a big physical player with back problems already. Then you give your two late 1st rounders for a Newhook/Dach type deal, but better. I'd like Kent Johnson.

  4. After last year I don't trust Hughes. Passing up Michkov will haunt this team for years

  5. Am I missing something? Why not just settle for C. Eiserman? The kid’s a pure scorer. Is he not eligible this year?

  6. I saw a recent video showing Demidov crashed into the end board (and suffered an ACL injury?). Don't know if that could scare some teams from picking him. If so, the Habs will get Demidov at 5. We need someone electrifying after Lafleur.

  7. Josh and Jessie, You need to read this! So first, you guys need to trust me ! I am Kent Hughes Hairdresser, I know what I'm talking about !

We all know Plan A is Demidov, Plan B is Lindstrom but do you know about plan C? This is where Kent will show to everybody that he is the true Pokémon Master ! Forget about the Pitlick or the Xhekaj, watch him get all the Coles !

First he will trade the 5 overall pick to Calgary for the 9 and 29 over all pick !

With the pick number 9 he will draft: COLE Eiserman

With the 27 he will draft COLE Beaudoin

And, for the hat trick, he will pick at number 29 Cole Hutson !

Just like that we got the size in Beaudoin, the Goal in Eiserman, the shiftiness in Hutson and all the Coles !

  8. We have to take into account the had also Monahan… Now they don't so, if Dach comes back healthy they even out again, but need more. Can Lindstrom be a #2? Some say more #3, we don't need third line players that's easy to get. Beck, Roy, Mashar, any cheap veteran that does a decent job, Evans is better at third then a 4th liner, can't produce on 4th buy better at 3.

  9. Here's somthing to keep in mind: Nashville had Shea Weber, Ekholm, Josi, Ellis as top 4 D-men and who did they drafted anyway ? Seth Jones! Because he was the best player available in their opinion. They traded him for Ryan Johanssen who was projected as a #1 centermen. Didnt work out as intended but still, we have to be open minded that, we can get offensive players via trade not just via draft! Also, another case, Drysdale was traded for Cutter Gauthier!

  10. I'm for Hughes trading down if Demidov or Lindstrom are gone. However if Anton Silyaev falls in their lap at 5. They may have no choice but to take a D. Which in turn could mean using someone like Guhle or Mailloux as trade bait. It seems Silyaev is a bonafide Top line D, where Guhle might be a 2-3, mailloux 2-4. So they would get more in return than say Harris or Sruble who will likely top out at 4-5.

Otherwise if Silyaev is still there at 5 they could trade down to a Team in the 8-10 range and take Iginla. For instance Calgary would probably love the chance to have Silyaev after losing Hanifin and Tanev. AT 9 there's still a chance to get Iginla and maybe Calgary part with Connor Zary or Jakob Pelletier for moving from 9 to 5. This gets the habs two decent forwards immediately and leaves them the choice to keep or trade the Jets pick along with a D prospect to get another forward prospect.

  11. I would bet on them going for Lindstrom if available, if he isn't it will be Iginla. If they do get Lindstrom, I could see them try to trade up with Winnipegs first one of their def prospect and maybe some more picks to get Iginla as well. That sure would round out the top 6 without going after a Necas or Zegras. Time will tell, should be an interesting draft day in any case.

  12. If they want to trade to 9th that means they want sennecke … what do the flames have that can possibly tempt the habs to move back , last I checked the prospect pool was thin

  13. Kinda scares me when Kent was mentioning he wants an impact player this year or next like most of these players like Iginla, Catton, Demidov, Lindstrom, Esierman are gonna take at least 2 if not 3 years to make the NHL and make an impact.

  14. Random bold prediction
Habs trade down to allow flames to secure Tij Iginla, they take Gallagher and Anderson and we get whatever pick they have and……….Huberdeau! 😮 lol yeah i doubt it but Habs would probably have to throw in a prospect or another pick

  15. if top 3 gone at 5. trade down to 8 to 11. take iggy, eiserman, cotton, sennecke. trade jets pick an the assets you got to move down an trade up to 13. take whoever is remaining of the top forwards. leave round 1 with 2 of iggy, catton, eiserman sennecke

  16. There is no way this team is in the mix next year. Sus goaltending, constant injuries, rookie blueline, Matheson's – 70

  17. Lindstrom is seventeen,he is going to grow some more yet, and even if he doesn't he will have a lot more impact then a player six feet tall or less, and he will make defenses pass the the puck sooner than later!

  18. It's likely Columbus will take Lindstrom over SIlayev or Levshunov because they have depth in dman and forwards so they can truly draft best player available.
Catton is my guy. He drives offense, and unlike Iginla is a dynamic dual threat on offense. Hes not big but hes better than Iginla.
