Chris Chelios breaks down Blackhawks’ options at No. 2 overall in NHL draft | Mully & Haugh

Mike Mulligan and David Haugh were joined by Blackhawks great Chris Chelios to react to Chicago landing the No. 2 overall pick in the NHL Draft. Chelios also broke down the Blackhawks’ options at No. 2. Will they add another forward to help their offense or focus on finding a defenseman?

  1. You don't look at a draft through the lens of Bedard. You approach the draft to build your team to be a cup champion. The Oilers have approached their team building "around" McDavid and look what that has gotten them so far.

  2. Mully OBVIOUSLY doesn’t know the NHL rules regarding getting the number 1 draft picks in back to back years/drafts. It’s every 5 years for an NHL club to be in the hunt for another number 1 pick so he’s gonna have to wait just like everyone else is.

  3. Non hawks fan here and not picking top 10 so no motive . If I’m the hawks I draft a 1st pair dman who can play 22-25 mins a game , those aren’t easy to land . if it’s not , possibly lindstrom . Demidov is good but hawks would have Demidov bedard Moore Nazer . They need to add bigger bodies
