  1. This seems more like a continuation of the shitty radio show that BOB had years ago. I don’t know why they ever assigned him hockey because it was clear he hated the leaves.

  2. I like Nylander and you don't trade your goal scorers. I like marner but he looks timid in the playoffs. Opinion. Peace ✌️ 😎. And Big Will was pissed.

  3. The thing I took the most about this team they are a bunch of fall downs bunch of losers paid to lose game my opinion, will never win Lord Stanley

  4. Just ship the entire franchise to Arizona where nobody except Bettman cares about hockey. Out of sight out of mind.

  5. I would say Nylander is underrated and Mathews is overrated. I say this only because when you look at all the greats in the game from years past like the Sakics, #66,99 etc etc what do they all have in common? All these guys and I have left out many have a common denominator. They have the ability to come through in clutch situations. They can elevate there game and it what makes the fans coming back. Its something special that you see on the ice. Nylander I see that. Matthews and to be brutally honest I do not see the clutch factor which is odd. I think Matthews has improved his overall game this year though. More strong on his edges etc and positional play. Nylander just has something special about him. To me clutch is more important then whether you score 40 or 60 goals. That said I do not trust the franchise nor do I trust entire team. Something is off with this franchise .

  6. They were one goal away from you guys all swooning over one of the greatest series comebacks. Good thing for the Leafs or there would be nothing to talk about 🙄

  7. Paying 4 guys? You forgot number 5, Reilly. The problem with the Leafs, since Shanahan took over is, that Team Isn’t built for the Playoffs. Seldom if Ever do Puck Control teams succeed in the playoffs. Sure it could be said about the Wings were puck control But they were also a Cycle team in the playoffs if necessary. It starts at the top and that’s Shanahan.

  8. The article in the Athletic was a fascinating read on what the Leafs should have done schematically with their core 3. The thought was to be super aggressive on offense while upgrading their goalie.

  9. Bob — After July 1, you cannot move Nylander. He has a full NMC which kicks in next year. I have said this for a long time, this team's window will open only when JT's contract is done. I dont hate JT. He is a solid 3C. I dont like the contract. At 11 Mil, he better be among the cream of the league in talent and work ethics. See Mackinnon. Marner needs to go as well. He is a player who will get you there but will never take you over. It is time. Take a deep discount or get traded.

  10. Goaltending was the difference, trade Marner for a decent return and a new voice in the room will get them over the hump.

  11. I think the exact same thing when I hear Leaf players say how "close they are"….close to what? Winning the first round? If you can barely win a first round, what hope in hell do you have to be a cup contender?

  12. I agree with Bob, Nylander should have been moved . Probably when Nylander held out the first time. Sell high.

  13. "What's wrong with the Maple Leafs…it's not talent." That's absolutely correct. It's the entire Blueprint that this team has been built on which focused almost half the cap spent on skill and speed, to the detriment of defense and leadership. I will disagree completely with Bob on trading Nylander. He's the only one of the core 4 who has consistently played well, come postseason, and unlike Marner, he's physically built to play a big boy's game. Marner looks scared out there and looking at points solely is shortsighted, when he avoids the dirty areas, loses puck battles and coughs up the puck.

  14. Finally! Yes Finally someone has the balls to hang some of the blame on the "Golden Boy" instead of shitting all over the easy target, the crowd annointed "Whipping Boy" Marner. Marner shares blame there is no doubt a fact is a fact, but an equal amount of weight has to be shared by the other non-performer.

  15. Player exit interviews to me indicates they are just used to losing at this point. Can't be a good thing to have moving forward.

  16. Finally, someone talking sense about how to upgrade this team. After replacing Keefe, trade Nylander for team needs which include blueline and goaltender upgrades Marner doesn't have to go but he cannot suck up so much cap space.

  17. Seems like Toronto is a poster org. for too much other than hockey . You have the people paying fortunes to watch this team be a personified leader in inclusion of women in hockey equality issues …the issues of LBGTQIA2S equality issues and all that goes with zero tolerance of any new culteral biases. This is what the Leaf Org. is steeped in… especially under the big spotlight in the NHL. A huge leader in that Political Correctness for current & future young sports enthusiasts. The deal is Professional Hockey at the NHL level is a competition of Skill , Hard work , and an attitude of War , Violence , and a Driven Spirit of Hating the other team …in order to win the Stanley Cup.
Toronto seems to believe in the Love thy Neighbor way of winning and it wont happen that way. There are not enough warriors on any leaf team to take them to the next level….and the Org. cant have it both ways ….Being a Warrior with a pink ribbon hanging off you ..or a muti-colored flag on your warm up uniform…just dont go together. Im just saying ..there is an attitude from the top down in Toronto that goes against the WARRIOR DEVELOPMENT in most ways…and there is a time and a place for everything . Leave all the equality issues outside of the hockey arena aka. WAR ZONE…and maybe we will get past round one.

  18. Why are we all afraid to state the obvious. Matthews lost a head to head battle to Pierre Luc Dubuois in the bubble, lost the head to head match against Dandenault against Montreal and couldnt dominate Boston who didnt have a number 1 centre.
