Hockey players are DREADFUL at live interviews on a good day, I'm not sure why anyone expected anything other than buffoonery, or something sleep-inducing. Marner's clearly multifaceted, because his interview managed to be both.
Marner isn’t wanted in Toronto so just trade him. Doesn’t matter what he wants. There are teams that would sure welcome him with open arms and he’ll make probably excel there.

They should have traded him last year with 2 years left on the contract. Some teams would have probably stepped up to offer their trade ideas. Now with 1 year left what team wants to trade away a load of assets for a what basically is a rental?
Marner only turned 27 yesterday, but really this is turning into a mess where he could just play out next season and go UFA.
