Dubois is the Jeff George of the NHL right now. Tons of talent that GMs salivate over. Entitled douchey personality that rubs teammates and coaches the wrong way. Will never win a thing in the NHL as a lead guy.

For those that don’t follow the Kings, context must bebe added. PLD was drastically misused this season. He spent basically the entire season playing on the third line with bottom 6 grinders. He was only used in the second power play unit, which basically only got the last 20-30 seconds of garbage time on the power play. He was set up to fail this season. He was used exclusively as a bottom 6 center and that’s exactly what he gave you.
For further context, he finished the season with only 7 points less that the Kings 2nd line center, Phil Danault. Danault played basically the entire season with a 31 goal scorer on one wing and a guy who finished the season with 73 points on his other wing. Danault has infinitely better linemates all year, got more ice time, and also was on the 2nd PP unit, only to get 7 more points than Dubois, but nobody is saying that Danault had a terrible season. The Kings absolutely set this guy up to fail this season. He needs to be given an actual real shot at living up to that contract before you can even remotely say whether it’s a bad trade or not.

Get Dubois out of L.A i have seen every kings game all season and the post season and he doesn't even try..hes the worst deal Evvveeerrr…we should have kept Vilardi and Iafallo and kupari we would have went deeper in the playoffs…Pierre Luc-Dubois needs to go

Have you ever been to L.A. In the last couple years???? It’s a complete dump, crime is out of control and there’s homeless people EVERYWHERE! I used to travel there but stopped 2 years ago because of the downfall. Couldn’t pay me to live there.

I’m really curious if PLD has mental health issues. One game he looks great, then another game he’s the worst player on the team. He said all the right things in the exit interview. It’s got to be between his ears. If that’s the case, I really hope he gets help.
