  1. wait until Sportsnet has the oilers broadcast team doing the Canucks-Oilers series. That's is going to be annoying if they have Singh and Debrusk doing it. I hope it is Chris Cuthbert and Craig Simpson

  2. Ummm, Dallas went 2-2-1 against Colorado in the regular season. They had one stinker L and one blowout W, the others were close as usual. Dallas can hang with Colorado. We know TNT will be rooting for Colorado just like they do every team that plays Dallas. Buccigross is the only one who even talks about Dallas outside of that stupid pre-game/postgame "analysis" they push. And Henrik likes Oettinger. neat! Eff the media on this series. I wish Bally were still in the mix for round 2. Never thought i'd hear myself say that! Good work Shannon!

  3. This is exactly what happens with Panthers on national broadcasts, they always root for whatever team they're playing and it's blatantly obvious. Anyway, good job Dallas for doing everyone in hockey fandom a favor.

  4. As a vegas fan this was a great series and strangely enough it doesn't sting as much after they won a cup. But it's very funny that the game 3 theory is 14/16 now.

  5. As a Vegas fan, I can’t believe people thought Dallas was an “easier path” I certainly never thought so. What a great series, especially goaltending. Vegas got outplayed most of the series, not the same hunger as last year.

  6. There is a god!!!! Took out the mafia run organization and closed door dealings! Stone welcome back for the playoffs!

  7. Eddie O is extremely grating as a color analyst. Always picks a favorite and never shuts up about his favorite. Gets depressed win his team loses. It’s very hard to watch.

  8. To be fair, back in 2019 in the Dallas/St. Louis series, Pierre McGuire had nothing but praise for the Stars, and clear disdain for the Blues. I'm pretty sure he took the Stars' loss in the series harder than they did.

  9. The Stars broadcasting team has always been just at the very highest level. Razor, Josh, Ralph Strangis, the late (and great) Dave Strader, etc. Honestly, they call it as it is (especially if Dallas is getting outworked or outplayed), but one thing they've always done well is actually call the game without talking about minuta during the actual play. It's so rare that you almost never see it, but if you watch TNT or something you will get a big dose of it (which is why it's so annoying when you are used to a certain level of excellence)! Honestly, I think one more crazy fact is that the Stars radio team is actually a simulcast on TV (Bally) as well. If I remember right, they are one of the very few/only teams that actually does that so you can always enjoy Josh + Razer's mastadonic calls during any scenario!

  10. Are we living in an alternate THG timeline? 3/3 in round 2!
Impressive game by DAL. Beat VGK with speed and intensity in Gm 7

  11. Your comment about announcers rooting against stars is interesting. I've thought that's the case for years. Also, the Dallas announcers are epic. I LOVE them. They've taught me the word "ubiquitously" and brought the world this little gem "the goalies look like Michael Jackson out there, wearing a glove for no apparent reason." 🤣 Seriously, they're my favorite in any sport.

  12. The part with the TNT Broadcast started for me already early in the first when the annoucer called the hold that gave the stars a powerplay a dive. Yeah maybe the Dallas guy sold it, but you cant just wrap your arm around someones shoulder when they are nowhere near the play.

  13. Olczyk is a joke. Shouldn't even be doing games any more. The guy makes no secret of who his favourites are. Caps fans endured years of his crap, especially when they played Pittsburgh. Laughably embarrassing homer

  14. Dallas, Vancouver and Boston could be in the Conf final. You’re gonna need a pitcher for that cider, my friend.

  15. Thank you for all you do. You do a phenomenal job at bringing unbiased reporting of the games. I am so happy for you that all three of your teams advanced!

  16. It's wonderful to hear you were able to catch the local cast for the stars! Due to it being a simulcast the standard was set quite high with Strangis previously at the pbp helm, Josh has done a damn fine job keeping the same ethos alive. They are considerate of any unable to watch along and provide a wealth of tiny detail to illustrate the game, we are truly spoiled with this tandem.

  17. We are very fortunate to have competent play by play callers in Dallas. Razor knows more about (insert any team here) players than their fans do.

  18. My friend was confused why the announcers were so one sided, it frustrated him and he doesn't even watch hockey! Not a good look for the nhl

  19. "Nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah! Hey hey hey, GOODBYE!!!" The NHL world is rejoicing. The Golden Goons are gone ❤

  20. I agree about colour commentators. I always mute the announcers for games I watch. Too many homers and inane conversations.

  21. I hear you Shannon, the announcers don't try to hide their preferences on air. They really poured it on against the AVS in game one then fell all over themselves in later games to praise the AVS play.
I do the same thing a lot in the regular season too, listen to the AVS radio broadcast instead.
    Go AVS!!
