He really earned it this year. So did the other 2 candidates, but it’s barkov’s to lose every year now that Bergeron retired.

When you compare Barky to the other two it’s really not even close. When you watch Barky in board battles that are 50/50 or even lower he comes out with the puck 9/10 times. When you look at how many goals are scored on the panthers when he’s on the ice it shows how much better he is than his competition. His steals/takeaways are like watching poetry in motion and he always makes the right plays no matter the situation. Haven’t seen a selke winner like him since Datsyuk.
I would also put Kopitar in the discussion for the award this year over the other two but that’s only from watching a handful of kings games this season. He’s still got it as far as I’m concerned
