not sure if Woll is the long term answer in goal .He has huge potential but cant stay healthy .That is 2 non contact injuries this season .He will obviously be the starter next year due to his small cap hit ,but beyond that I am not sure

Gotta move on from Matthew’s. We understand, he’s a very talented goal scorer. But he isn’t a winner. 1-4 with him, 2-0 without him. With all his talents, he’s holding the team back. But you all aren’t willing to listen to all this.
Keefe has poorly coached this team for a very long time. He overvalued Jarnkrok and Holmberg way too much. Their numbers are horrible yet they play big minutes in important positions. Holmberg is barely an nhl player, a strong breeze knocks him off the puck. Jarnkroks shooting percentage is awful or he puts in right on the goalies number's. Let him just play the penalty kill if need be. Now take a player like Robertson who produces more on less minutes. And we reward him by either sending him down or lampooning him on a 4th line. He may not kill the penalty but the leafs have plenty of players to fill that role. Early in the series, samsonov was getting beat easily and not able to even spot the play, yet it took a last ditch effort to put woll in. During the season, we lost every overtime that kampf started. His line pairings don't match north vs south skaters vs lateral skaters. The list goes on and on.
Marner Liljegren to Rangers for Trouba Kakko. and Rangers can pay Utah to retain salary on Marner if they want. Marner makes less than $800,000 next season in real dollars after Leafs pay him his huge July 1st signing bonus, and Utah has something crazy like 40 million in cap space.

They said they would take no shortcuts and then they did just that, they tried to accelerate the rebuild when they shouldnt have. And that has cost htem every year until now

As a Rangers fan, you have gone against great defensive teams like Boston and great goaltending in Tampa, 2 goals in 13 playoff games is understandable. The leafs problems are not management, it’s your captain. When Mike Kennan quit on the Rangers in 94, Messier took on the load. Tavares is the worst captain in the NHL, and inspires no one. Give Matthews the C and dump Tavares. He ran from a good islanders team. He has no leadership ability. The Captain raises the team up in tough times.

You’re not doing your due diligence as GM if you don’t explore trading a core guy. Can’t trade Matthews, he’s the best goal scorer of his generation. Can’t trade Willy, he shows up for you. Can’t trade Tavares cause he won’t go. Gotta explore trading Marner. If the next season starts and you go “the return wasn’t there”, fine. But if Shanny doesn’t even let talks happen again, ya gotta get him out.

The new youth are exciting and I think our Goaltending is finally decent. I believe the next two years are going to be phenomenal for my Beloved Maple Leafs! Go Leafs Go.
