First let's all be honest. TO was lucky to get to 7 with the missed games from Willy and Auston, missing McMann and the predictable no shows from the other core guys. Surprisingly, Morgan really disappeared this year offensively. I'd like to say I'm optimistic about the future but I have doubts. We have some good young players, Knies is a gem, but the decisions needed to be made and the goaltending worries me. Samsonov is gone, Jones too. Woll is a stud but the his health and keeping it seems to be a problem. And you know, finally having a great candidate in net but one that can't stay healthy is pure Leaf luck. Hopefully Hildeby is ready. God I hope Tree has a damn good plan and can pull off a few miracles.

I don't think we can blame Sammy on this when you only score 1 goal in over 60 minutes. Marner was nowhere to be seen, game after game. JT was slow. When Dewar had the 3rd best chance of a game, you know something is not quite right with the offense of this team.
I will forever believe Dubas was let go because he wanted to trade Mitch after last season and Shanny nixed it, would love to see an alternate reality where this happened
I think the leafs need to run this team back at least one more year.

Potential takeaways: Willie thrives in the clutch, Domi and Bert came up bigger than their contracts in playoff and especially by the end of the season, worth a re-sign. Woll is the King in the crease. John looked pedestrian all series except his OT drive, and Mitch only looked dangerous for a combined 45 seconds in 7 games. Where do we go from here?

I think blaming any of the losses on the goaltending is lame. The team was never built off defense and goaltending. The facts are the money is spent on 4 guys, surprise they didn't show up again. Bottom line they are not playoff performers.
