Aaron Ekblad: Florida Panthers Play Bruins or Maple Leafs on Monday

Florida Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad speaks on Friday, May 3, 2024, as his team continues to await their second-round playoff opponent.

The Panthers will play either the Boston Bruins or Toronto Maple Leafs after beating the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning 6-1 in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series on Monday, April 29, 2024.

The Panthers won the series 4-1 and will be playing either Boston or Toronto in the next round.

Monday, the Panthers got a pair of goals from captain Sasha Barkov and Carter Verhaeghe; Evan Rodrigues and Niko Mikkola also scored for the Panthers.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 31 saves in the win.

Matthew Tkachuk had two assists.
