  1. the phantoms are going to be the team to watch this year. they let most of the career AHL guys walk, and this seaon the lineup should be thick with recent draft picks and propspects. thats where the development starts, and where players get their first taste of what being a pro is like, where expectations are set. The organization has an obligation to invest as much energy into the players as they demand of them, and the Flyers should be on the bleeding edge of sports science when it comes to their players, instead of just bringing in old heads who played for the team. Its going to be a great environment for the young kids to come into a lineup with guys that are all around the same age and fighting for the same spots helps breeds a competitive spirit, but what are John Leclair and Patrick Sharp bringing to the table thats different? Is their knowledge in line with what today's best athlete's are doing? Theyve got a ton of kids on Vorhees spending the summer there training right now, but are they training the right way or just telling these guys to put on muscle?
