  1. i doubt they get passed the Oilers… Oilers have some real stars, Nashville didn't

  2. Just for context, the Canucks play I feel good by pitbull after they win. I don’t know about you, but I feel good.

  3. I hope Silovs will get his game in 2nd play-off. And that other latvian – Blueger gonna wake up and remind how good he was in mid season.

  4. Good way to get on tv…be the pnly guy with the away teams uniform…the camera finds you like an Apple tree in s cornfield

  5. As a Canucks fan, I'll say this much at least. I'm just happy to know a Canadian team is going to the conference finals.

  6. I was at that watch party and my god, that was electric. After the goal, and those last 30 seconds. I’m never forgetting that

  7. Im not even a sports person but I was born and grew up here in BC. Canucks literally make me cry. It is in our blood . I love seeing my people happy too . I don't care about olympics NBA NLF or anything but Canucks. And I'm half black even lol

  8. I wish I would have been back home to see South Fraser Way in Abbotsford after the Canucks won! Instead I'm a lonely Canucks fan living in Arizona where I'm the only I can hear cheer quietly for the boys cause the wife is USican and doesn't like hockey or loud cheering noises. Go Canucks go! 🤙

  9. I saw Silov help the Abbotsford canucks get to the playoffs right before getting called up to the big canucks.. He was playing well right up to the end of the AHL season. Its awesome to see him get a playoff shutout after getting the callup. dude must be stoked right now.

  10. Canucks and oilers, my 2 favourite teams. Couldn’t ask for a better series. This will be epic.

  11. Ngl I was very much hoping we’d be facing Nashville. This series is gonna be crazy tho, can’t wait!

  12. Any time you're playing a player as good as McDavid it's worrisome, but honestly this is the preferable match-up for the Canucks. In spite of what all the "regular season is meaningless" types will say, it isn't. It matters. It's not everything, but it matters. And the Canucks never looked in danger in any of the games they played this year against the Oil. Not even the last one against the "different than the beginning of the year" Oilers. Any honest Oiler fan will admit that the canucks controlled that game basically from beginning to end. Simple fact is, we match up much better against the Oil than we would the Kings. We were terrible against the Kings this year and their system frustrated the canucks like crazy and likely would have in the playoffs too.

None of this is to say the canucks will win. This is the NHL in 2024. There are no "favorites" and if you believe their are, then you haven't been paying attention to hockey for basically the past decade. Nothing would surprise me in this series. An Oiler sweep. A Canuck sweep. 7 gamer either way. Anything could happen. The only thing that separates the vast majority of the to 10 to 15 teams is psychology. This series will come down to psychology, team discipline to their system and mostly luck.

So I think the canucks have a very good chance to win this series because a) psychologically they've owned the Oilers this year and b) they seem to be able to maintain their structure. Even when they have bad games, they tend to not let it spiral very far and self correct in the next one. It's very important the canucks come out as strong and as disciplined as possible to maintain that psychological advantage. They have to keep the Oilers questioning themselves. If the Oilers win any kind of blowout game or game where they control play over the canucks, then that psychological advantage will probably slip away.

As much as I love what Silovs has done, I'd still feel better with Demko back in goal. Who knows though…maybe this kid is going to be the story of the playoffs. A Patrick Roy type run.

  13. The only thing that saddens me about all this is that 1 of our 2 Canadian Cup containders is gonna go the next round 🙁

  14. 0:49 Myers blocking that puck with his nuts. That's why he was hunched over while the rest of the team was celebrating.

  15. Been only an oilers and canucks fan since i was a little kid. This is gonna be brutal for me lol

  16. This series kinda sucked as a neutral viewer because Nashville should've won most of those games, then Vancouver would just get lucky and win it
