Buyout Dubois, and Signed Toffoli and Monahan in UFA. You saved the face
I wouldn't rush to buy him out just yet, I would give him another season or 2 max as he could very well have a bounce back year., but if there's no sign of improvement, his time in L.A. his time should be over, unless there is something to suggest that he's been too much of a party animal off the ice, then terminate his buy out his contract much sooner. I remember when the Predators had bought out Matt Duchene and he has looked like top 6 forward in Dallas on that bargain contract, unlike his former teammate Ryan Johansen.

The Habs dodged a bullet. Dubois is a bad apple. I am glad they didn't get him. He would have set back the team a few years with his ridiculous contract.

As a Montreal fan I still catch myself daydreaming having the big talented local kid playing in our top 6. I convince myself that Marty St-Louis can get into his head and work a miracle But then I wake up from this dream and realize that there's such a high risk that it could turn out to be a nightmare beyond nightmares. It could destroy our rebuild.

Blake has to go. Not just the PLD deal, but he has failed to secure an "A" level goaltender for the past four seasons.
I want to say give PLD’s production this year a write-off, but year after year after year the guy just doesn’t have the heart to play those games when the going gets tough. It’s too bad because if he had the will, he would be such a dominant player. What’s even more frustrating is that he’s on an LA team with arguably one of the best defensive-minded forward in Kopitar that I would hope it would have sparked PLD to play a similar style to Kopitar’s and even Danault’s game. Very disappointing.
With that contract I cant see any buyout. That's crazy talk. If they do I can name 20 teams that will be calling…
I think they have to stick it out for one more season. Hope he pulls his head out his ass and starts working. Threaten to healthy scratch him if he doesn't put in effort becaus if they buy him out and he goes somewhere else with something to prove and performs it could make the situation look even worse
You keep him a couple years and PRAY he bounces back. Going nuclear and buying him out RIGHT NOW would be a DiPietro nightmare. Having cap against them for 10+ years is a good idea???? C'mon man.
You know what Scotty Bowman did to Sergei Fedorov a few times? He made him play Left Defense for several games.

It's funny how people laughed at Lou for signing Horvat for similar money on the Isle and Bo had a resume to back it up. Bo is going to earn his money on Long Island but I doubt PLD will ever get past his 60/season in LA or anywhere else. Let's not even talk about what it cost their respective teams.

Thats what u get when u rush your rebuild.. they should have been way more patient with recouping draftpicks/drafting high.. Blakes inpatience will hunt them for a while
