First time watchin this hockey stuff after dabling in some swiss league games, picked these Jet fellers as the team to back at the beginning of the season and I'm happy with my choice… Never saw actual jets skatin around though so that was a let down

There's a psychological human need to identify a villain when an unwanted and embarrassing outcome occurs. I feel for many Connor Hellebuyck is filling this need — unfairly. Was he sparkling? No. I think you could argue maybe 2 to 4 goals (out of the 28!) were ones you'd like to see him stop. But come on. The man faced a shooting gallery. Where was his help?
As a life long Wings fan i feel a bit dirty saying this, but the Avs have a great team and are fun to watch. My cup pick is the Oilers. Hoping we get a Colorado vs Edmonton WCF.

Avalanche are elite, and the Jets have been have been playing beyond their expectations all year. Jets tried to outscore the Avs in the first game which is clearly unsustainable for almost any team in the league, then made it easy for the Avs by abandoning their defence first system due to playing from behind all series, not to mention all the shitty penalties they took making it easy for Colorado to get the W.
Was worried about the track meet style of the first game, and that Colorado would edge the Jets if both teams played that way. So Bowness' answer was to just stop playing, I guess

The Jets are a NOT disappointment, Avalanche is better playoff team, also they're constantly in playoff, win Stanley cup and they know how to play those games, Jet's is here after how long and they are not consistent playoff team ,so imo you're not right.
The avs have some of the greatest offensive firepower in the league. They were the better team, Winnipeg’s defence got picked apart by an elite offensive team

The AVS were better in every position. Including coaching. Bednar had a great system to challenge us, and we never adjusted to that. The Jets failure was collective. I sense the players lost confidence in their coach and system, which with what they were experiencing in the series, would simply gut them. No wonder they lost so badly. Schife was the best Jet by far, the rest were meh, Connor's drive by on Mackinnon in game 1 was sickening. The Jets have far too many nice guys, this team will never win in the playoffs built as they are. Respect to the AVS they earned this victory in every way, I think they might take it all. And one other thing – to the brainiac Jet fans who mocked Georgiev when he was struggling – you're idiots. Beyond crass, did you once think mocking him might piss off the AVS players? Note when the series changed : Right when you dumped on Georgiev. Many of the fans in the stands that day helped the AVS win. Oh well, you can't teach intelligence or class.
After game 1 I thought the Jets had a very good chance of winning, but Georgiev pulled it together after that and the Avs are just flat out stacked. I really wish they would bring back the 1-8 seeding for the playoffs. Granted a good team is going to get knocked out eventually, but a lot of these first round matchups wouldn't happen until round 2 or 3 if they went back to the old seeding.
It's amazing how many excuses I've heard about this series. Apparently it's the jets that lossed the series as opposed to the avs just dominated in every aspect of the game. Someone even tried to say the top line for the avs didn't do anything. Absolutely wild
