He fist bumps with Pasta, then Pasta goes to Rielly and the rat goes to Marner to start a brawl lol.

How this guy got a C blows my mind. I’m glad the refs didn’t buy his antics yesterday and hopefully they won’t buy it for the rest of the series as well.

Big and tough Marchand trying to pick a fight with known goon *checks notes* …Mitch Marner?

During the regular season he blamed Marner for McCabe crosschecking him and told him he was coming for him.Not sure if he really believed that or was trying to get in his head but Marner told him he’d lost it and scored.[link](https://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/s/2YCwrK7I0D)

Marner if you dove that time, I would have been okay with that.

Looks like he got some notes from Stamkos

I think Marchand actually has a lot of respect for Marner’s skill, he’s praised him in the past. He knows that if he can get him off his game their odds of winning increases. He also knows that Marner’s an easy target, he isn’t gonna do shit.

They know Marner scares easy and is susceptible to intimidation. No better way to make him a non-factor than by scaring him.

Can you imagine if Marner pulled a Felix Potvin, and beat the shit out of Marchand.

Mitch would have been the toast of the town.

Glad the ref recognized and got between them immediately not like they usually let players scrap it out a bit though I guess they know which players are which. If it’s 2 heavyweights you don’t get in the way.

All bullies have one thing in common.

    They always target the weakest.

Tkachuk also punched Marner in the face 3 times without any retaliation. The entire league knows who to target on the Leafs.

I don’t know how you can look at Marner, who doesn’t fight but also doesn’t do dirty bullshit because of that, and Marchand, who tries to seem tough, be a pest and “lead by example”, watch the latter unprompted go after the former, both get physical, and go “Marner’s soft lmao”

Like? He doesn’t want to fight, so he doesn’t do dirty shit that invites fights. Fair play. Marchand comes after him anyways, and he still pushes back at him, and he’s soft? Not noted pest and leader Marchand “rallying his boys” by going after the uninvolved noted non-fighter, after everyone’s picked a dance partner, instead of being first in and going after anyone actually involved?

Marchand deserves to be mocked far more then Marner for this.
