So now the hockey page can move on, right? Or are we still upset? I’m not sure.

That should settle down the Reddit Rage Mob..

He used an outdated phrase that he shouldnt have used, I’m glad he took accountability and we can all move on.

The people who can’t accept this apology are weird, and the people who are mad that he apologized at all are also weird. He’s a grown adult, he’s doesn’t have a gun to his head forcing him to say this, he’s apologizing because he’s a good person and it’s the right thing to do.

I was just about to make a post earlier. Is rhockey/nhl all the sudden this massive champion page for women’s everything in sports? Or are they just trying to pommel our coach because for some reason everyone hates the bolts? Because the comment itself wasn’t “grossly misogynistic” as I’ve read maybe 50 times already.

Fuck if that’s the case every time someone calls a player a pussy on those pages they should be read their Miranda rights.

I don’t think it’s a big deal but he could have certainly used better phrasing. Ppl make mistakes he apologize, now we move on

Interesting. I interpreted his comments to mean they should put like a physical skirt around the goalies so they cant get touched. Not any sort of slight against women.

CMDR Salute for that one Bolts “fan” who said he was done with the sport if Coop apologized.

    Ya won’t be missed, bud.

Eh this comment didn’t need to be addressed or apologized for. I took his comment as “goalies can’t act like a damsel in distress and expect the refs to be their saving grace” when in full context. Not that it was suppose to be a jab at women.

This is the time we live in unfortunately and you can’t say anything anymore without upsetting Somebody.

This is the danger of assuming things.

He was making an analogy ffs 🤦

  10. Reputation can be considered a series of “deposits” and “withdrawals.” The comment was a “withdrawal” in the emotion of the moment – some believe a small withdrawal, others that it was huge (ridiculous). Fortunately, Coop has made so many deposits, that this should all go away.

(Obviously he got cocky after winning the TNT award. I wonder if he has to return it?!?)

If you watch hockey and his statement hurt your feelings, go watch NBA or Tennis

glad he did this tbh, voicing his frustration with what happened during the game is understandable but that language was not necessary
