The new division based playoff format is such b.s, the no.4 team in the West doesn't get home advantage and has to play the no.2 team, while the no.5 team in the conference gets to have home ice. But I also realize how much it screws the Jets also, they had to play 4th seeded Colorado instead of the 7th seed like they would have in the old format.
The Jets played well, but the Avalanche were too much for them. What a good series. Congratulations to the 2022 champions and fans of Colorado. Go Avalanche!!!! A great series from the team of Manitoba. Go Jets!!!! On to round 2.

Man I can’t believe Hellebuyck is probably going to win the Vezina. He was brutally bad in this series. I know his ‘D’ didn’t help him out in many cases but to give up close to five goals a game in every game in the series is insane. He made Georgiev look good in almost every game except the first one. If I were the Jets defencemen I wouldn’t rest easy over the summer.
