It took awhile to get the answers but now we know how the City will pay for its share of the costs for a new downtown arena. It will tap a previously unreported fund of cash to supplement existing pools of money. City’s total costs: $850.3 million.

As a fan that doesn’t live in Alberta: I don’t give a shit what it costs I’m just excited for the new arena and to go see a game when it’s done. But I do understand why people are upset with how it’s being paid for
I love how in the article it states that we’ve always had the working capital, just never the disclosure. So it’s like found money for you guys!
The previous deal was miles better for the city. It would have cost the city half of that with CSCE responsible for all the overruns.
