Being a US based hockey fan who watches sports other than just hockey, I feel like being a Leafs fan might feel similar to being a Vikings fan. They will be pretty good each year, will have some really good players and there will be points during the season when both hope and expectations rise. However, in your heart you just know with absolute certainty that eventually, they will find a way to F it up. Thank god I lived the second half of my life in CO and have the Avs because in MN, it’s the case with every major sport 😂
Come on, Toronto. This is the weakest Bruins team you've had to face and you are still losing. They don't even have a #1 center. If they lose this series its just a complete embarassments. These Bruins aren't even that good. They just capitalize every time Toronto takes a stupid penalty. And Toronto seems to have no ability to defend one timers. Its like they've never seen one before.
I am not a leafs or a bruins fan, but I work with 3 or 4 leafs fans. and I am dreading the conclusion of this series. I expect toronto to lose. and I expect a nuclear meltdown

That was definitely a trip from Marchand but I would like to point out that if Bertuzzi wasn't trying to out-rat the Rat King, he'd have been in position to make a play on Fredericks. Cry about the missed call all you want, but Bertuzzi's lack of discipline cost them that goal.

I'm a Flyers fan, and didn't watch this game, but I'll complain about the officiating if it helps.

It’s a great point about Marchand — he’s easy to dislike for opposing fans, but if those fans start booing Marchand, they’re just feeding the dragon. He loves it when they boo.

Leafs were so sloppy with the puck in the third period. They were out of gas and it showed.
i dont think it wouldve made a difference but that final tripping call on Tavares was total nonsense and killed any chance the leafs had to tie it up. Two boston players hanging off of him, holding his stick and they all fall down and somehow its a penalty on the leafs??
The minute that southern Ontario (probably Kitchener area) gets another NHL franchise, you are going to see a mass exodos of Leaf fans switch to the new team, that will actually cater to REAL fans and not the stuffy, white-collar, suit cliental they have attending games now. The Leafs have priced the common fan out of the building, and thus as a result, Scotiabank Centre is quiet, has low energy, and lacks any passion from the crowd. The fans in attendance are there to close business deals or have given tickets away to casuals as a form of business bribe. The Leafs have been against local expansion of the league because they know the real fans will bail on this team.
I wonder what sports would be like without refs. Who would the fans blame?
the ref thought they were playing bingo the refs were brutal so was the the leafs playoff . leafs ppg = the time u get a x in scratch off bingo ticket or winning tv at bingo or over 999 dollar at bingo.

Bertuzzi skates into Marchhands stick, reffs see this good non call Bertuzzi continues to whack him with his stick Marchand then trips him because its what he wanted, Frederick goes in and scores. The king rat showed Bertuzzi he's still a lil mouse.

Refs don't make several obvious infractions in a short period and the result was 2 goals. Yes, Leaf fans have a reason to complain, doesn't matter how many PPs they had.
Special teams and drive to win is the difference this game. Some will say blow it up if they lose, I say trade up for better draft picks and find a better mix that way. And stop paying 5 guys so much, you need depth and can't get it with 5 guys making most of the payroll.
If anything boils my blood, it's the notion that the Bruins "stole" the game, that it was the Leafs' game to lose. It was NOT. Boston doubled Toronto's score, period. Boston is now 6-1 against Toronto this year, how is anyone giving the Leafs the benefit of the doubt.
Thank God THG doesn't root for the Leafs.

Nice summary Shannon! Love the Golden B on both the hat and the Jersey! Marchand and Bertuzzi were at each other all game! I found it so satisfying that Marchand capped it with an empty netter after getting up from being mauled by Bertuzzi! Maybe our year as Bruins fans? I hope so!
