HOW WOULD A FORMER COACH WOULD FIX SKINNER’S PLAYOFF PROBLEMS? | 7-Eleven That’s Hockey

Through his first two games this post-season, Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner sits with a 4.42 GAA, and a .857 save percentage. Overall in his playoff career, Skinner is 6-7 with a 3.81 GAA and a .879 save percentage. Is this a cause for concern for Edmonton? How can Skinner get better? TSN Hockey analyst Bruce Boudreau shares his thoughts.

  1. As a former goaltender, Skinner's mind is not focused on the game. He's on his heels in this one. He's probably trying to hard to do it mentally. The mind is too slow for this sport. You have to drop the mind and rely on something supernatural. Just ask Connor McJesus about that one.

  2. Its not skinner, its the team infront of him. How tf do ppl talk about playoff hockey without mentioning team defense as that is the #1 thing all cup teams have in common is beast team defense. Blows my mind but then i remember the old boys club exists. Fire these bums n stop rehiring them ffs, they're well past thier prime even in the commentators booth.

The hawks and penguins won multiple cups with different net minders ffs. Its not rocket science but best goalies in the league generally always = best team defense in the league.

  3. I want to hear Bruce’s opinion on Cam Talbot’s 11 goals allowed in 2 games. Criticize both teams for once. The Canadian media has this bad habit of grilling Canadian teams at the first sniff of a struggle. No wonder players run off to sign for American teams 🙄

  4. Doughty didn't even shoot….and it still went in…I've never seen a goalie try and stop a breakaway with his skate while standing straight up ….
