  1. Capital players were getting away with dirty cross checks and stick slashes so what's good for the goose is good for the gander and we all know if OV doesn't have a good game he will begin his nasty play.

  2. A leader leads by example and if you can't then you will feel the repercussions and i said it from day 1 Trouba is not a leader. Gustafson is terrible, makes too many mistakes i'd rather see a prospect in that position.

  3. Let’s just keep it simple. After all the cheap hits and trips from the Capitals, the Breadman delivered the cleanest hit with the strongest message.
    ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

  4. Gustufson is definitely as good as you can expect in a 6th dman, but I don't really see how he has a great game. He caused a costly powerplay, and caused another Caps goal when he let a player blow by him like a traffic cone on the freeway.

  5. Intent is everything panarins intent wasnt to injure wilsons almost always trying to be dirty and injure

  6. The "too many men on the ice" penalties have been a recurring theme all season. Of course, it led to the 4-3 goal and a frantic finish with Washington's net empty. Excellent game by Miller and Zibanejad. We can talk about the calls that weren't made against the Caps, but how about the calls that the Rangers deserved? Rempe for a rough, Gustafsson for delay of game, Trouba for tripping, and Fox (going off) for the delay of game. The first and last led to Capitals goals. Carolina will not take as many undisciplined penalties and we know that the ones they do take will be cancelled out by the No. 1 PK in the NHL. Everyone should be pulling for the Islanders to win tomorrow night, extending their series to at least five games.

  7. Careful giving Oshie credit for anything. He's a dirty player being protected by his pretty boy persona and the media strokes him. He only does things like pretend to check on Lindgren after a dirty hit for example, because like everyone else in DC – all he cares about is optics. Wilson is gonna be an issue in game three and the boys need to be ready. Time for the Troo Troo train….

  8. At the end of the day, the pathetic state of NHL refereeing began when 'King Bettman' decided that two referees were better than one. When this was instituted, this meant double the refs and like a lot of things, they were taught the rigidity of the rulebook but never learned how to get a feel of the game. Then the 'Big Government' style of endless replays, going to New York or Toronto or Elmwood Park, NJ for the endless suits making decisions that one referee was once upon a time able to make only made things worse, inconsistent and time consuming (wasting).

  9. Oshie is a dirtbag. I used to have a lot of respect for him when he was on the Blues and even before that when he was the darling of the USA hockey team and had three or four goals in a shootout one shootout. And then he came to the caps and now he's just a dirtbag I don't know it's like Tom Wilson's injecting him with some kind of Wilson serum. He got what he deserved and never want to see people get hurt to where they can't play anymore but I wouldn't be upset if he couldn't play in the series anymore
