  1. 37 loses his magic in the playoffs over and over, why he insists on handling the puck is beyond logic, he is terrible. Sign LB, trade 37 this summer and get a haul.

  2. Crazy how you think that Makar might have tried to sell a call on the high stick. He’s the only player to waive off a penalty for his team because he slipped and wasn’t tripped earlier in the season.

  3. Another reminder why Hellebuyck needs to stay in his net. The guy is amazing between the pipes, but that is where it ends, he has never been good when under pressure playing the puck. Jets as a team can play even better, hopefully they bring it for game 3. Also, 2nd line needs to get going to help the team.

  4. The 1:40 mark features a claim by Connor, a cohost of the Winnipeg Sports Talk segment following the Jets’ loss to the Avs, of an 8.50 p.m. Central Time puck drop. That was on an evening that had featured no Eastern Canadian team in action but no doubt a simultaneous broadcast of a Canucks’ home game.

The above said, going into that game, I had gotten used to viewing games that in the Eastern Time zone had started at or after 9 p.m. As I had from no earlier than last October been watching so many games played by any of the Western Canadian teams in the Mountain or Pacific Time zone. There was an era that had featured the Leafs in what would become the Western Conference, an era that would start at some point in the 1980s but end with a 1997–98 season, an era they had featured so many more games, at least relative to the number of total regular-season games, played outside the ET zone. Save for games the Leafs, Sens and Wings in November played in Stockholm during the NHL Global Series, no Eastern Conference NHL team after last preseason but before last weekend had played 17 or more games outside of the ET zone, and of those Eastern Conference teams, I believe, after last preseason but before last weekend, the Sens were the ONLY one with under 3 points earned in Western Conference arenas. There may not be a Western Conference team that over the same time span earned under 4 points in Eastern Conference arenas.

  5. Had the momentum and let it go. 37 needs to be better absolutely no question. The 2nd line has also been a total non factor. Ehlers needs to elevate his game and play better 4 goals in 34 career playoff games. It’s time!! Need to pressure MacKinnons line like crazy and make em work.

  6. I don't think we can blame this loss on any one person.

But if we could, it would be Remo for not giving us a playoff suit show.

  7. Thanks for the recap guys! It was a great atmosphere in the building last night… until it wasn’t. Hope the guys can get it together and rebound for Friday.

  8. Winnipeg fans, you shouldn't cheer for Georgie on the 1st save he makes. The hockey gods may look down on you doing that kinda stuff.

  9. So said they fell apart in the second. Jets made so many mistakes. They need to learn to do more puck pressure in their own end. They cannot let the avs setup. Game plan for avs is traffic in front and shoot. Unfortunately jets smaller dmen cannot clear the front of the net.

  10. I heard many jets fans saying it was gonna be a sweep. The confidence you have without winning a cup is laughable. Maybe hellebuyck is a good goaltender in the regular season, because he doesn't have to face the same opponent consecutively. However, when he has to face the same opponent in the playoffs other teams figure him and your whole team out.

  11. You all are incredibly optimistic. The Avs have been the better team in 5 put of 6 periods in the two games. We are making the Vezna winner look like an average at best goalie. Your only hope is Georgiev crapping the bed. The Avs lines are dominating in 5 on 5 throughout the lineup. Good luck in the rest of the series. Luck is what you'll need to win because skill sure as hell won't be enough for these Jets.

  12. Av's have been the better team through two games. They have set the pace of the games and are the dominant team all over the ice. The Jets will need to flip things in their favor if they plan to win another game

  13. Good job with the review
jets gotta start playing a defensive minded game
    use pur speed and checking
81 is looking good on the back check, 55 gotta do the same
    go jetz!!
