kuch was out the entire season. and i really can’t fault stone. if my employer came to me and said “hey take a month or so off you’re still gonna get paid” i’d do it in a heartbeat
What about when Kane did it with Hawks in 2015, get over it, blues and bolts tried to remove rule, but every other team said no, so now everyone else gotta deal with it, rules are rules so why not exploit them if you can lol
They need to make a rule that players on LTIR cannot return in the first series unless they have played 3 consecutive regular season games coming up to playoffs.
People without a brain : Vegas and Bettman are cheating People with a brain : 12 of 16 teams in the playoffs are over the cap, including multiple teams that are more over the cap than the Golden Knights. For example the Toronto Maple Leafs are over by $16 million dollars. Conclusion : humans have evolved to pick up their dogs shit and carry it around in a plastic bag.
Wasn't chicago the first team to do this? I believe they even tried to close the loophole and the league voted to keep it. Smart of Vegas as far as I'm concerned
The rule should be: 'If a player does not play at least one regular season game after the trade deadline, they are not eligible to participate in the playoffs.
I saw a segment once that suggested that if a team does this then the player returning from LTIR should be ineligible to play for at least the first two games of the series. Might be a start

But but….Leafs use it people are going to enter chat.
Leaf players, on LTIR, are still out though, unlike Vegas (and Tampa in past years).
You need to admit, Stone is a great on/off player who can be competitive without much preload
Talk about how Stone did this 3 times… Kucherov was at least out the entire regular season.

Everyone rooting for the stars

I think Mark Stone is in a perpetual state of being just injured enough for LTIR, but not too bad so he can play though it in the playoffs.
Why do leafs fans even care, Vegas is in the western conference
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Mark Stone is the biggest flopper in sports

Once Papi or McJesus is out for the latter half of the season, to return in the playoffs.

Oilers don't need this cause we are the best team in the NHL
until Vancouver tries it than the league will change it and punish Vancouver
Definitely a loophole that needs to be closed

Stone wasn't even injured
Imagine what the Leags could have done if JT had been smart enough to offer the same thing to the Leafs?
As people become more aware of the cap circumvention issue, their complaints are likely to pressure the NHL into addressing and fixing it.

It will stay this way until a Canadian team does it. Then they'll fix it.
