Louzer should just put up the surrender flag and apologize to fans for that fkn choke job. Isles were 81-0 with three goal lead in third in playoff history. Until last night. That never happened under al or barry. Can't blame roy for this old ass team that runs on fumes by third period when younger faster teams turn it on. dumb penalties, failed clear outs (like on 2nd goal that started cane comeback) mistakes occur from that. And roy can't clean up the shit like blown leads/bad pk that started under lame-o as well. I hope he cussed isles out in french after that game. And NO call ups are just mandatory in playoffs when ahl team is done. The call-ups have a snowball chance in he-ll at playing in any of the two, three remaining games before this season is put out of its mercy. And it wont be getting any faster or younger by next season.
im sorry but it IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE to lose THREE CONSECUTIVE TIMES to the same team in the playoffs. When we lose this series in the next few days it will be three consecutuve times carolina has beaten us and we have not learned anything or done enough for it not to happen OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Gil, funny how when you’re goalie gets shelled in a game their exhausted by the third period. Sounds familiar to me. Just like what happened to Illya seeing 40 plus shots a game during the season. The playoffs you’re supposed to go with your best. Varly hasn’t played this much in years. Roy is doing the same thing lane did to Sorokin. Of course lane had no choice when varly was on his usual yearly injured list stint. Playing Illya 17 games in a row and him seeing more rubber than the Goodyear plant was ridiculous. Now st Patrick having flashbacks from 2013-14 is just as dumb. How’d Jonathan Quick play for the rags this year? Better than varly played for us but to no ones surprise Igor started the playoffs. To have a top three goalie in the league sitting and being down 2-0 is on the savior st. Patrick. As far as I’m concerned he can leave like he did with Colorado. But I wouldn’t blame him from running from this roster.
It was already pure luck that the Isles were leading by three goals on a handful of shots. They never deserved to win and you’re not going to win many playoff games with a total of 12 shots! And here’s exactly where the comparison to past is missing the main point: in how many of those three goal lead games that the Isles won in the past were they outshot 39-12? I bet you NONE!

Two things, Gil:
1) Semyon should start Game 3. He did not do bad enough to lose his spot to Ilya Sorokin. The Islanders lost because they were passive on offense and relying on defense and goaltending to hold on to dear life in Game 2. I don't really blame him for this. By changing goaltenders, you are making a change for the sake of making a change here. It would not be the right move to make.
2) I am so glad you mentioned Bo Horvat here. Can we be honest about him? He has been a bust here. I understand he is durable, and he scored 31 goals this year, but beauty is an eye of the beholder. Bo has scored four multi-goals all season. I need to see more offense from him as you pointed out in the podcast. Too often, he plays like a passenger than a driver. Too often. he comes off invisible. Too often he shows you nothing.
There is no bouncing back with this dog shit roster. Look at their 2nd PP unit. It’s a joke.

Just to really 📣 myself up, I not only saw The Night Before 🤶 Eve, but I also saw Game 6 of the 1980 Finals. Tough decision should Patrick Roy stay with Varly, or should he he stay with Sorokin, who's been well rested, and he was a great goalie, too. Offensively, where's Horva. Gm Gil. The first move has to be starting Iskhatov because clearly he has speed that the team in general lacks. Putting the same team on the ice would be the definition of insanity. 1) Shorten the bench and keep Dobson off the ice. 2) healthy scratch some of the older players 3) Start Varlamov
