What's pathetic is the red wing had more wins but Washington had more regulations wins??? So the team with Less wins in the " win" get rewarded with the playoffs in a tie??? The NHL is A joke. If your going to have over time wins go against a team In a tie breaker get rid of the god Damn overtime.
hes kinda always been a one-trick pony. he really turned it on the year they won. maybe the year before as well. now hes just looking to pump his stats and get the record. otherwise his controller has been disconnected.
A good comparison is Corey Perry.. He's the same age as Ovechkin and has won a cup and basically done it all as a well, and Perry is looking far better then Ovechkin. He plays with a lot more heart and tenacity. You can tell that Perry still has that fire and is hungry and really wants to win still when hes on the ice. Whereas Ovechkin just couldn't care less.. out there coasting around, completely nonchalant.
Ovi & the Caps don’t deserve to be there. Crosby put his entire team in his back and deserves to be there more than Ovi. That being said, the play of the rest of the penguins also didn’t deserve to be there and that’s why they’re not in the playoffs. As a diehard Pens fan, Detroit deserved the last playoff spot the most, and it’s pathetic watching a -37 goal differential team “compete” in the playoffs.
As a Rangers fan that's hated Crosby since his first season with the Pens, he's a generational talent who makes everyone around him better. He turns 3rd line players into 1st line 30 goal scorers. I don't think there has ever been a question that Crosby is the better player but I did enjoy Ovi's physicality back during his prime. Sadly his "controller disconnected" moments are now the mainstay
