How you “cheat” in the Stanley Cup Playoffs

The Vegas Golden Knights won their first playoff game of the season after getting captain Mark Stone back from the long-term injured reserve in a move that does not look good optically. #hockey #nhl #vegasgoldenknights

  1. it's cap circumvention AKA cheating. No they aren't breaking any rules technically. but they are still CIRCUMVENTING the freakin cap. It is cheating. This needs to be stopped.

And no, I am not a Dallas fan. I just think the salary cap is there for a reason. circumventing it is basically breaking the salary cap.

  2. I had a laceration on my spleen and my doctor didn’t even say anything about it. Just mentioned it and said it would heal. It never bothered me at all and I didn’t even know I had it. Fake injury

  3. Minor correction. 2 players returned from LTIR. Mark Stone (obviously) and William Carrier.

  4. How is this cheating when anyone could do this and have done this?
Just another so called media you tuber stirring the pot. Shocker

  5. Tampa did the same thing a few years back when they won their last cup, Kucherov magically came back from the LTIR. This needs to stop cheating is cheating, if a player isn't on the team for the last game of the season they shouldn't be eligible for the playoffs.

  6. Listen drama queens, we are just giving what everyone wants, which is a Rangers-Knights SCF. So whine if you must. I had a personal meeting w Bettman himself. It's what he wants. You know it's true. It's all been pre arranged scripted whatever. So cry about it we love the salt

  7. Yes is the any doubt ? 2024 Stanley Cup winner will be Vegas . I cannot wait till next year's Dramatic Mark Stone injury that will knock him out of the seasons play ………till the Stanley cup playoffs hahahaha to compete for #3 lol

  8. I've been watching NHL hockey since the 1960s and I've seen a lot of rule changes over the decades. The rules are there to be exploited. Last night Austin Matthews caught a pass with his hand in mid air, transferred it smoothly to his stick and scored. Great goal. A few decades ago that was entirely illegal. Why pass along the ice now if you can throw a pass through the air? Get practicing. I didn't think you could use lacrosse moves to score in hockey, but apparently you can. No rule says you can't. I personally don't think it's hockey. Similarly I applaud Vegas for exploiting this little loophole. Be wise as serpents, the bible says. To the winners go the spoils, to the losers sour grapes. Why didn't we think of that?

  9. I can’t complain about this. The Blackhawks did the same thing with Kane in a cup year. They kept him on IR and had cap space for acquisitions and somehow he was healthy for game 1 of the playoffs.

  10. Rule should be a team cant use a player in playoffs unless the player plays a game, post trade deadline – end of regular season AND if placed on LTIR post deadline, ineligible for playoffs

  11. The Las Vegas Golden Knights franchise is synonymous with the word CHEAT. From their existence, when the NHL changed expansion draft rules in order to favor Vegas, to the most recent LTIR fiasco, this franchise has known no other way except to bend the rules and cheat.

  12. It is one thing to do this one year and get away with it. Most fans will let that slide. Like in Chicago's and Tampa's case. 3 years in a row is going against the sportsmanship of the game and tarnishing it though. Mark Stone and The Vegas nights are cheating at this point and their actions may inadvertently ruin the whole point of LTIR for teams who are struggling with real downed players. The NHL needs to do something with this Grey area. Vegas is Abusing it as a tactic.

  13. The cope is amazing. This is not a new thing. LTIR rules have been exploited for a long time. The source of the salt is really from the fact that an expansion franchise has had so much success in such a short time, pretending otherwise is just a massive cope.
