  1. Not the best nor the worst choice. However I see it like an easy fix like a bandaid. And a little more reaction as well. I would have explored the idea of the Kings old coach and Oilers.

  2. 5th all time in wins, what kind of garbage podcasts is this, turned around New Jersey and Dallas. Coached a successful team with the NHL owning them. Check your facts before you do a show

  3. Yeah and Lindy was one of those quality head coaches – he had 110 point team last year with similar player types, and go look at his underlying metrics as a coach. He was 12th in expected goals this year and they just didn’t close the deal, and the goaltending stunk. Explain to me if he’s not as good as the other why the devil got worse after he left? He was one of the coach of the bunch of experience ones that played the right style for this team

  4. I think there’s only 3 or 4 coaches who have won more NHL games as a head coach than Lindy Ruff. Historically good head coach, solid hire by Buffalo. I he will elevate the compete level and that’s good enough to make the Sabres a playoff team.
