  1. This game is actually how I expected the first game to go. I think Game 1 was an outlier and I would not be surprised if the series finishes either 4-1 or 4-2. The lack of offensive production will mean there are more shots to defend (as there was during the regular season) and if you spend more time on defense than offense, it's a losing war of attrition.

  2. The schedule is fantastic. The half hour stagger makes it so I can see almost the entirety of simultaneous games being played and there was no down time where there wasn't hockey being played from 6 PM to completion. My only complaint is the woman doing the color commentary for some of the Western games. She just never shuts up during the play.

  3. I said this at the end of the season, "be careful what you wish for". Doesn't really matter what the Bruins do with the goalies, if their defense continues to play that bad they are not moving forward. They didn't even play that well in the first game. 16M tied up in cap space between McAvoy/Lindholm until 2029-2030. Those two need to step it up.

  4. The leafs were very lucky to win. They played like keystone cops most of the third. Could not make a pass in the third. Now back to T.O. to lose two. Enjoy the win, its their last.

  5. LOVE THE JERSEY HOCKEY GUY !!!!! Bruins gonna Choke just like last year !!! LEAFS GOT NOW AND NEXT WEEEEEOWWWWW

  6. shots were pretty dang even this game, its just that Boston has been somewhat reliant on the power play so far so the 5 on 5 play sees more possession by the leafs

  7. I think the Bruins just made a really dumb, arrogant decision that could very well have blown the series. For one thing, it doesn't matter if this worked in the regular season because you're not playing the same team potentially seven times in a row in the regular season. You need a starter and you need him to have rhythm and confidence. When you establish a mental edge over an opponent, You don't make some dumb change to stick to a system to give them a chance to get back into it. That's exactly what they did, and before you say momentum doesn't matter in the playoffs, It certainly does to this Bruins team if you look at last season. And now Swayman has to go into Toronto with a series record he did not earn after he earned the right to start Game 2. We will see what happens. I'm not a Bruins fan but I picked them to win this series. I know for a fact that blindly adhering to a regular season style in the playoffs is like a kiss of death.

  8. You are not wrong, if Leafs were to beat the Bruins, this year is their chance. Overall Boston does not have a great team like they have in past years.

  9. I personally like the schedule. When the first games intermission starts, switch to the second game. You get to watch the ending of all 4 games in succession.

  10. you really should start adding more analytical stats such as high danger chances, shots in the slot….. SOG dont tell the whole story

  11. Matthews has to bring that level intensity every game, if the Leafs want to move on. He can't be just a one-off…

  12. i have a decent eye for the game; last time I joined my office pool, I won it all by calling the vegas – washington final. That being said; man oh man, the leafs just do not want to finish their hits. Like yes, they won that game, but it really could have gone either way – especially with the lack of physicality and Rielly just basically giving the puck to the Boston D-man in the final minutes of the 3rd. The guy had the puck on his stick, all the room in the world, and just passes it away without even skating 3 feet…. If they can improve play in their own end and actually start slamming guys against the boards, they might have a shot. If not – it'll be another game 7 or round 2 disappointment.
