  1. I think Woody is a good coach, but he was a little to animated and just a bit arrogant. Knobs is awesome he has a quiet confidence that reflects well on the players. GO OIL!!

  2. Kings fan. 1st time listening to this coach. Wow.. Is there a better make-up of how you want a coach to look and sound?? Yikes. I think maybe not.

  3. For a guy that has the weight of Oilers nation and team on his shoulders in Canada 🇨🇦 wow are we lucky to have him on our side. Good luck Kris on your first N.H.L. playoffs 🎉

  4. The problem with Woody is sometimes I felt like he was dramatic and over exaggerated at times trying to find the perfect thing to say, sort of like Dubas.
He was a great coach, but I think Knoblauch is the guy we need for the playoffs, who really bleeds his calmness into the players

  5. Guest Speaker Reflection

Format: In a multi-paragraph response of three-quarters to one-page in length you are to answer the questions in regards to the guest speaker that spoke to the class today.

    1. Who was the speaker and what is their job?

The speaker is Payten Smith. She is works in criminology. She uses insects to figure out information about crimes like the date of the crime. She also works in helping falsely accused prisoners.

    2. What did you learn about law from the speaker? What did you find interesting/controversial about what he/she had to say?

Something I learned was how police and use things like fingerprinting to figure out missing pieces of a crime. I learned about the process of how they extract fingerprints and examine them back in a lab with powder and brushes. Something I found interesting is the way they identify dead bodies. They take the dead person’s skin and extract their fingerprints. Something I found controversial was how the computer and the experts could be confident about a fingerprint of someone who wasn’t even in the same country as the crime. I wonder if there are more instances of fingerprinting mistakes that don’t get caught.

    3. What was different, and what was the same, regarding what you thought about the guest’s job before he/she spoke to the class?

After the presentation, my thoughts changed. I didn’t realize how much detail and backup procedures were put in place to ensure they were as confident as possible for every conclusion they came to.

    4. After reflecting on what the guest speaker had to say are there any questions that you would have liked to have posed to the speaker.

Something I would have liked to ask the speaker is if they have any procedures in place to have a background check or something on the person they accuse from the fingerprint to check if they are a possible candidate. Also, I would’ve liked to ask the speaker about how matching the fingerprints work if they aren’t in a common database. If they don’t have all the fingerprints in one database, the computer will not always have a perfect match, and therefore, be inaccurate with accusing certain people.

  6. So if Holloway is in, that means Brown is out then (assuming Janny and Kane are indeed playing)?

  7. Just relax and stay focused on familiar routines and normalcy, eat the same drink the same talk the same walk the same, just smoothly transition, the rest will fall into place for you. Everybody is going to get hit now, nobody is immune. Its not about getting knocked down, champions get knocked down, its about what you do after you get back up. If there is one aspect of the NHL Playoff game an NHL Coach must manage its resilience. You are now in a race to 4 wins…. be the Windshield not the Bug.
