What do you expect a hard-core Leaf fan to say really ? They have to hope and pray their team advances. It has gotten so bad for Leaf fans and homer announcers at Sportsnet and the Communist Broadcasting System ( CBC ), that I really fear for their health and sanity, both if the Leafs do lose ( which they will ) or if through miracle of miracles they ever won the Stanley Cup again ! The city would be torn up , which in a way I don’t mind, as I hate Toronto the city and the hockey team that plays in it. The only part of Toronto I enjoy is when I drive down the 401 past it to go to the airport. The Toronto of my earlier youth in the 60’s is unrecognizable today, so sad 😢 It feels like I am in a foreign country.

If the Leafs are the “ better “ team on paper, then why did they only get two out of a possible eight points this season from the series with Boston , hmm 🤔 Did you watch how they ended the season too, hmm 🤔 Four straight losses, allowing 5 or more goals from three different goaltenders during that losing streak. Honestly, you blind Leaf fans are the biggest reason why that fanbase is the most hated and despised in the league. And if through some miracle of God your team did advance ( God forbid ) , you have to get by WE WANT FLORIDA !!

I think whoever wins game 1 takes the series. If the Bruins win game 1, they will be inside Toronto's head big time. If the Leafs win game 1, they keep the momentum going and roll through.
I started watching hockey the week after Sittler scored his 10 point game, so I obviously suffered through a great part of the Ballard years, but at least those teams could win an odd playoff series. Toronto has one playoff series win since the 2004 lock out season. I want to feel at least the excitement I felt during the Gilmour era or the Sundin era where they at least looked like they might have a chance at hoisting the Cup. I would have included the Sittler years but lets face it no one was really going to challenge Les Habs but we did beat the Isles so that was something.
